You have to keep in mind that the clone walker battle pack was available back when the clone wars AT-TE was on the market. The point was that you could get 4 clone troopers for like $10, and it included a gunner and commander. There were a lot more clone troopers available in 2008

2003: nostalgia points, but too low 2008: more room, can make adjustments to hold more figures. best play feature is being able to be carried by carrier gunship 2013: better detail than previous versions, more stable, but not as good as 2022 2022: blows everyone else out the water. best detail/mini figure selection My ranking: 1st: 2022 2nd: 2008 3rd: 2013 4th: 2003

first is 2008. That ammount of minifig and phase II cody has to be a catch were you get a 140$ battle pack with exclusive minifig. And overall shape is too small. In short, great but should have been way better.

The AT-TEs are just one of those sets I never got as a kid that I always ALWAYS wanted. I had friends with the 2008 one but I had one friend that had the 2003 one around 2007-2008ish and I always loved how the clones looked and the green windows the most. Brings back a lot of good memories 🎉

In my opinion, the newest one is the best, but I like the Clone wars one because of its size and 2013 one for that Coleman Trebor minifigure. Its also kind of interesting to look at the very first one as ancient predecesor to the newest one because of how many clones it included (and how many the newest one includes), just a cool parallel.

2008 still holds a lot of nostalgia for me. In this case size does matter. But I've grown to like the 2002 one a bit more than I did originally. Obviously 2022 hype is strong. But I still can't get over 2013. I feel like lego dropped the ball between the lack of interior and laughable minifigure selection (they're good figs, it's just appalling that they only gave us 1 clone) but 2022 looks to be a major improvement over it

As bad as the 2013 one is in comparison to the rest, it was part of the 2013 summer wave, which was one of the best Lego Star Wars waves. That doesn’t mean it’s good, but still I thought it’s worth mentioning

@@trentoninnewjersey that’s what I love about these sets. If you like simple sets, go with the 2002 set. If you want a giant set, go with the 2008 set. And if you want a really detailed one, go with the 2022 set. And do what you want with the 2013 set

I am ecstatic to know my 2008 AT-TE holds up 14 years later. It and the 8039 Venator are the crown jewels of my collection, and this AT-TE was really special to me because my parents got it for me during a tough financial year.

Personally, I think that the 2013 version does not get enough credit, even after 9 years, LEGO still copied the main structure and design from it for the 2022 version. All they changed was the feet and interior

The 2022 one is the best by far. While the 2008 might be larger, the 2022 just captures the actual look of an AT-TE much better.

I watched the Clone Wars movie yesterday, and the length of the 2008 AT-TE is very accurate to the source material

@@trentoninnewjersey 2008 is almost minifig size, the AT-TE is a behemoth of a vehicle making the separatist AAT look like a RC tank and the 2022 is just too small and should have capitalized on the sheer size of the AT-TE to bring a 160$ 2008 size monster.

I personally have always liked the 2003 model because of the green windows. It's not accurate but it's cool looking. My favorite though is Captain Rex's because of all the unique add-ons he and the other clones built

I like how the 2008 version has the top canon seat move with the canon. It limits the movement and I don’t know if it’s more or less accurate but it looks and feels a lot cooler than the barrels just pointing up. That is the only think I like about it though.

I agree, The Justifier is short on figures but as i have the Bad Batch Shuttle i don't really care. I even bought the Obi wan fight scene set lol. I had credit with Lego. My Favorite i think though is the Scythe and BD-1 Droid set.

I only own the 2008 ATTE (will be getting the 2022 one when I can), and I can definitely see the appeal of it, I consider the 2008 ATTE to be one of my favorite lego star wars sets in my collection, and that includes the Venator and the 2012 Gunship.

The 2022 set is actually very accurate it’s taken from the battle of utapau in revenge of the sixth where an at-te is only really seen in the background and the spider droids are see mainly in the one scene where the clone trooper shoots it from on to of it

Actually, the droid he climbs on top of and shoots is a Crab Droid, not a Dwarf Spider Droid.

The 2008 is the only ATTE I have and at the time I was a big fan of the animated movie, so getting Ahsoka, Rex and Rotta was just amazing. The build is also very great, with a lot pf storage and place inside of it. The canons are the only cons since they break pretty easily

Could you add a stickers vs printed pieces ratio to your comparaison reviews ? Even if it doesnt matter in the notes they get Because stickers on 15yo/10yo sets can easly turn out bad, and for those that can't afford new, the 2nd hand market of used is really good to finds legos, stickers being the worst part of it So i think it would help to rate sets on "durability" ? (Maybe talk about the weak colors aswell ?)

6:13 You actually built those bottom turrets wrong. They normally don't spin when built correctly. They are supposed to be connected closer to the cockpit area, it seems you placed them out too far when connecting them to those technic holes🤷‍♂️😅

One thing i love LEGO for is because they they adjust everything for inflation nearly perfectly. They try and remove any piece that isnt really needed, or visible, but add a gajilion other smaller pieces to make up for it.

Anyways, nice video and thanks for the escape and childhood nostalgia! I also really like my OG set from 2008 as well as the newest 2022 AT-TE. On the newest set I don't like the way the big gun elevates tho. They should have been more accurate to the movies and the TV show and try a similar solution to the 2008 set.

My childhood dream was to have a moc with 2 AT-TE's, 2 LAAT's and some ground troopers fighting droids. I already have a small collection that looks good but I gotta spend money else where since I am getting my drivers license soon and after mandatory military service I am heading straight to university, so maybe in a year or two I can fulfill it. Even as an adult, I really love lego star wars.

I modified the living hell out of my 2013 one , now having 4 springloaded shooters under the front panels and room for 13 troopers, aswell as allowing the side panels to be more easily moveable

Man, this is just making me want a UCS Clone Turbotank in the same style as the UCS AT-AT. Have it be fully minifig scale with the exact capacity of an actual A6 Juggernaut, accompanied by a Kashyyyk Trooper battle pack released at the same time to fill out all the seats. Of course, a whole Battle of Kashyyyk wave in general would be amazing, with a Droid HMP and Wookiee Catamaran released in the same year, but I am so so down for just a UCS Turbotank and Kashyyyk Trooper Battle Pack.

I like how similar the 2013 one and the 2022 ones are, because it’s almost as if the 2022 one is a natural progression within the Star Wars universe where the model has been updated and has battle scars on it where as the 2013 one is being deployed for the first time and is brand new as well. Which is why it’s only slightly different to the new one. Also the timeframe between when the two were released is almost like the time frame between these two battles in canon I believe (geneosis and Utapau)

I really liked that LEGO made Trebor! That being said, they should have included at least one or two more clone troopers. Logically there would always be a driver, gunner, etc… I always liked how Trebor tried to take on and kill Count Dooku all by himself. Very brave! Though, he most likely never was inside this vehicle because he was killed off very early in the Clone Wars. Hopefully LEGO makes the Arena a reality but I am fine with them not doing so if it becomes something like the recent Yavin Set as far as the structure goes.
