First of all it’s good to have you back! Hope all is well. Awesome scene with Maul. Your vision for the Venator is starting to take shape. I really think you hit it out of the park with your treatment of the walls. Keep up the good work and may the force be with you!

@jdavidbatzer Thanks Jdavid! We are getting back to normal both with Life and Lego :) Appreciate the thoughts, I do think it is starting to look like our vision for it, we know it will only get more challenging as we move up the ship. The Maul scene will carry over into the next episode but is also close to how we pictured it. The walls are very very close to our vision so appreciate the kind words there as well :)

Looks awesome! Nice job on that top plating. Maybe use part 3067 in trans red for the force field. Either that or part 3574 in trans red. Both will allow you to see through the force field. Keep up the good work.

I really dig this moc! And would love to see the final result, I do want to tell you, making such a big scale venator might make this tip very hard, but the venator might look like a straight blok, if a ship crashes its half into the floor, like diagonal. Hopefully the build won't be fully straight. You could make the venator separte for this and lift up the front area with Ahsoka a bit higher with either bricks, books or wood. Then you can create that deep part to place the venator a bit better then straight. Can't wait for more!

Hi BVL... Thanks for the kind words and I really appreciate the tip. So we are planning on continuing to have the Venator angle out towards the back and not be fully straight. As we get back towards the bridge it will angle back in, technically this is only 1/2 of the full venator, we will have a 2nd 2ft x 6ft section with the back end of the Venator. So in effect the front scene with Ashoka will be lower then the rest of the MOC. Hopefully this make sense and let me know if I was understanding you correctly?

@@lobricks hahaha, cool! I wouldn't have expected otherwise from you and should've known this was only half of the moc's size hahaha. I wish you all the luck and hopefully it would look very sick!

Build looks good so far. I'm just not sure about the top plating though. That's a lot to take off, just to show specific scenes at each point. Would you consider making where the scenes are on the sides of the Venator? That way people can see everything without you having to put too much work into it. The center/inside of the Venator is hollow, while the perimeter has scenes throughout the Clone Wars finale.

@torinjohnson9338 I like that Torin, right now it us more of a space thing. I don't have the width in my current space, but I have the length, but your right if we take it on the road it won't look as interesting to be one big long crashed ship, versus having things around it. I am building it so you can easily remove the scenes from the inside. The idea is for it to be completely modular.
@al6ctf25 ай бұрын
this may be a stupid question but how do you store/fit all these amazing MOCs inside your home? assuming its not stored somewhere else .
@lobricks5 ай бұрын
That is not a stupid question at all :). We are now very limited on space. The Death Star Trench Run had to be put into storage and we are having to share the Hoth room with our Clone Wars Moc. We have some "interesting" strategies for how we are going to fit everything in the future, but the primary strategy right now is that our "Clone Wars" MOC is completely modular. We can break it down into 48x48 stud baseplates.
