The obvious solution is to have one helmet mold with holes for characters that need them and one helmet mold without holes for all the other regular clones. I think people forget that these guys have a heck of a lot to contend with. Usually there are a few guys working on deisgns in a small team, and all of the 10 designers will have to peer review them, then bosses that determine things before and after a design is roughed out, plus Lucasfilm doing the same and asking for things and revisions too...then there are production line constraints and timelines too. Plus its not as if they can just ask everyone without spoiling the new products too. Lotta stuff to contend with even BEFORE we had 4+ TV shows, and a Jedi Fallen Order, plus sets needing refreshing lol

My sense from this interview is these guys are super creative, have been working on Star Wars long time, and a lot of these inconsistencies in the sets are due to them essentially being on auto pilot. They could benefit from a QA member on the team to ensure accuracy to the scenes the team is trying to depict. I imagine the egos of some of these designers negates that idea.

The concern i have with having direct access to the designers is knowing how toxic social media and fanbases can be.
