Believe it or not, but LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga actually pokes fun out of the Sequel Trilogy, spesifically The Rise of Skywalker. Making jokes about how redicious it was that the remains of the Death Star crash landed in Kef Bir. It doesn't stop there though, and we explain it in today's video!

@@switcheroo3660 Sorry but thats just nonsensical, so you need entirely specialized engines to go into hyperspace, or... just a very big explotion, also keep in mind that implies the pieces traveled through hyperspace, with a compromised structural integrity, proceded to either ram into the planet at hyperspeed (which was probably not the case since as this movies themselves have shown, would've turn the pieces into dust) or most likely stopped the hyperspace travel just inside the planet's gravitational influence, were pulled by the gravity and crashed like a meteor on the surface, all of this with no real structural integrity to sustain it just a bunch of pieces of metal, and yet it is intact enough to be recognizable as a death star piece while also having some working doors and having the syth wayfinder intact on a pedestal, sorry but the explanation for this is ridiculous and the worst part unnecessary, the writters could've simply put the pieces on endor and make the characters have to go there, but I guess that would've made too much sense

They also fix some things, like how Kylo takes the first swing in the flashback, and Luke is only defending himself, rather than him being on the verge of murdering Kylo in his sleep. That's a small detail that makes a HUGE difference.

Kylo took the first swing in the film, and luke defended himself. Luke only ignited his saber and in a fight or flight instinct thought briefly about it. He wasn't going to, but as kylo had pretty much already fallen, he assumed the worst immediately and lashed out.

Wait, Keif Beer is in another star system entirely…? I thought it was supposed to be the ocean moon of Endor or something, so there’s at least a rational reason why the DS2 fragments didn’t end up on the forest moon… Keif Beer being in the same system at least makes sense because the blast could send a bunch of chunks into a higher orbit that later settle down on multiple different planetary bodies, but getting sent into hyperspace into another star system entirely doesn’t make sense.

As for the OT combining the technical limitations of the day and the tropes of movies back then in the 80s, it's not hard that things haven't aged well and it's fun to poke at. Even then again the OT got much better in writing/action as they went on. In addition, when those movies came out there was a 'plan' and coherent plot between each movie, and non of the characters were reduced to 'comedic' relief of just simply being left out. Imagine the OT if Han just was going "LIEA"! at the top of his lungs for the final movie and he was reduced to a bumbling bufoon unable to do much. As I recall, the Death Star debris scattering through hyperspace is nothing new. This was always partly the reason why Endor didn't get buried in tons upon tons of flaming junk that could haver rendered the whole moon a barren wasteland. Likewise stories about scouring the ruins of the Death Star crashed on distant worlds go back at least as far as novels printed in the early 90s.

The Death star pieces got thrown into hyperspace by the core of the death star and then most of them were promptly eviscerated due to lack of structural integrity. Other than Vader's glove (which was kind of stupid, but at least it was small and thrown into hyperspace under an entirely different circumstance before the explosion) nothing crashed anywhere. This is at least a lot more consistent with what would logically happen. I believe a few smaller pieces crashed in some places, this was a LARGE chunk. Large enough to remain, remember, above sea level.

I really liked how they fixed the hypocrisy of Luke in The Last Jedi. In the original movie, Luke pulled out his lightsaber and considered killing him. In the Lego game version, Luke just checks up on him and Kylo Ren is instead the one who attempts to strike Luke

Let's look at it from a logical standpoint. Luke learned of all the stifling tradition that led to his father's fall. He then began running his new Jedi order differently from them, using his insight he learned from his time in the GCW. Then next thing he knows, he senses his nephew of all people plummeting straight into the depths of the dark side far faster than Anakin ever did for much less. Given how Ben went on to burn down the temple and murder all the other students immediately afterward, it's safe to say he was getting "quiet kid" vibes from him right then. Suddenly everything he believes is right is being challenged right then and there. In a moment of weakness he considers acting immediately, doing the unthinkable. But the moment passes and he composes himself. But that one moment was all it took to send Ben over the edge.

I don't think they poke more fun at the sequels than at the other movies. Just look at how they reference Anakin's sand dialogue over and over, even in Episodes VII and IX. They had a lot of fun with all the movies, and I really enjoyed the humor throughout! Also, in defense of the DS2 wreckage on Kef Bir: Both Endor and Kef Bir are moons orbiting a gas giant (which is also called Endor because Star Wars canon is confusing and messy), so it's perfectly reasonable that some of the ruins could end up the next moon over after such a huge explosion. Pretty sure the joke is meant to be about how Star Wars physics has always been wonky, not about how "The Rise of Skywalker writers didn't think it through" or whatever

The Forest Moon of Endor doesn’t have a name and is simply called the “Forest Moon of Endor.” Kef Bir and “the Forest Moon of Endor” are both moons of the planet Endor.
