Good quality review as usual, I love the blurry background perspective shots of the minifigures, looks great. I think the set itself is decent but I wish the wings were a little more tiled off and the price be $5-$10 cheaper.

I had a $10 reward at Best Buy so I'm swinging by to pick it up after work. I've got quite a bit of extra light gray tile pieces that I'm going to use to modify it a little. That's my biggest fuss and it's an easy fix.

I appreciate that Lego finally gives Din his actual face, but I don't get why they don't include a hair piece for him as well

Honestly, I think Lego probably rushed to get this out as soon as possible to capitalize on the success of the show but this definitely needed more time for design. The fact that they use so many colors is not a good thing. If they don't want to use chrome then use most light bluish gray and some tan/yellow and dark gray accents. So many of the custom designs are miles better and I know Lego adheres to certain standards and even accounting for that this could have been much cleaner.

I agree, but criticizing LEGO's Mando's n1 starfighter would be no different than criticizing every other LEGO Star Wars set that has ever existed. No matter what, custom models are always going to be superior in terms of detail and accuracy.

Not chrome, it would start peeling off soon enough. however they do have shinier / glossier colors they could have made the pieces out of.

Cool set and awesome ship but Lego executed it poorly, to me it’s too messy/ busy on the eye so it’s not the best for display purposes. I get that it’s supposed to look make shifted, but some of the detailing could of been a lot better, especially on the engines, just look at the engine detailing on the 20th anniversary Anakin’s pod racer set for comparison.

Great review! For $60, I think they could’ve added detail to the front engines that you get from x-wing engines and adding the three saucer-head droids from the episode that the ship was built

I think the reason LEGO didn't include chrome pieces in the build is because they are probably very expensive to produce. But at the end of the day, this is meant to be play set and not a UCS set. So detail isn't gonna be a top priority. But if you're looking for detail and accuracy you should consider investing in MOC's.

@@danielt.9586 ok cool but I never mentioned the chrome pieces used on old sets like the ucs naboo fighter, only dulled down versions that you typically see on other pieces. Furthermore, whilst I understand this set is not a ucs set, take a look at the Thanos gauntlet; whilst it is an 18+ set, that uses metallic pieces and beige to give the impression of the object being shiny.

But what I'm saying is, unless the set is a UCS or 18+, LEGO is never going to go out of their way to implement specialized pieces to achieve the tiniest details in a set. But also, playsets, while not being as accurate, do have the advantage of including a better minfig selection, which is also to be desired for this set especially for that molded BD droid and Peli Motto. Honestly, it's all personal preference.

Don't get me wrong this is no hard towards you by any means but Lego's realization of Mando's sick and slick looking N1 is beyond bad considering how badass it looked in the show and is overpriced as usual..It completely lost its smooth original N1 shape/sizing which it did not in the show. A shame in my opinion. If you guys enjoy it I do not have any problem with it and hope you have a lot of fun, but man look at pretty much every MOC out there and I honestly cannot believe you actually like this set, also considering you build such great MOCs yourself man.

I'm with you on this. Mando gets a bland face (that doesn't look much like Mando) but no hair? The Darksabre is terrible, the ship looks messy, under-designed and half-finished (but not in a good way), and to make it worse it's over-priced even if it was a perfect set. It's designed for kids who don't care too much about detail but priced at adult collectors. It almost looks like the designers did a good job with it but then the budget department just removed a load of pieces until they were happy it could be built with enough profit. Poor effort all round by Lego on this one IMO.

The 2015 Naboo star fighter was 50 dollars and came with a display stand, ammo cart staircase and fuel pump for display I wish this one got a display stand but I guess the extra pieces went into the engine details

Wizard. It looks so much better than on the box, I think it’s great! Love the storage compartment too! Also the stud on the back of the BD has to be able to attach to a Cal figure Also also maybe the instructions aren’t finalized yet and that’s why yours are like that?

I know the BD droid is a small figure and every print is a print. But for some reason it feels like there is not enough detail on it. Or it's the video🤔🤔 the neck is completely white, the top doesn't seem the have a lot of printing, only a few stripes and some circles, feels like they could do something better imo 🤔

Should be around the 40-45 dollar mark, 50 at most. Despite that it’s a really nice set imo, the wings maybe could do with some tiling to make it a little smoother but pretty good overall 👍

it is a lot of money for a relatively small build. to think that the X-Wing is £10/$10 cheaper yet has 60 more pieces and same number of minfigs. Of course price per piece isn't everything but this set is certainly on the upper limit of being an 'acceptable price'. It just doesn't feel like you're getting a good deal IMO

Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but since you changed your recording setup, the sound on your videos has been much quieter. I usually have my volume around 50% and have to crank it to 100% when watching your videos, then lower it for all the other channels I watch. Other than that, keep up the good work, great video.

I don't think it's a terrible build, but the dark gray just shouldn't be there, same as with the Razor Crest. I'll be working on correcting that myself.

I think I like it but its definitely overpriced for what it is, especially in australia. Not going to lie the shaping isnt quite right. its not smooth and that yellow and black stripes is really way too bright for me. The tail around grogu's cockpit is also too blocky, and those wings definitely need some work. Overall idk if I can really justify getting this.

Thing just doesn’t really have a good side. The front is too flat, the middle has slopes but they change a lot and don’t meet up well, and the back is too blocky. It has good play functions tho.

60 i think is way too much for this set. though i do love the design of it, i don't feel like it's rushed aside from the cockpit windshield having big gaps at the back. could have closed that with small slopes easily.
