1 thing I really like about TSS is that the characters and environments actually look like legos more that other games

The main thing I preferred in Force Awakens was the Force Powers - being able to levitate an enemy with force lighting for example.

Cody's only got his phase 1 armor in the Force Awakens while his phase 2 armor's in the Skywalker Saga. I'm pretty sure that's the only difference I spotted.

The game is also a lot bigger, so they couldn’t make every character look amazing. You can especially see that there is no shiny silver or gold in Skywalker Saga. Not on Phasma, the droids, or lightsabers.
