After the rise of the new empire, following the events of Episode III, the Imperial Navy produced propaganda films to raise morale about the rise in military power. Produced and narrated by Grand Moff Tarkin, this is the last remaining copy of those films.
Animated and rendered Lego, created by Ladonite Creations in 2006.

I was thinking about this film at work today and had to find it. It’s crazy, but 14 years ago this little video was a huge inspiration to a 10 year old wannabe brickfilmer. 14 years later it still holds up really well, and is even more impressive for its time. Very enjoyable and a big nostalgia hit.

I had to animate the camera in post, as I only had one trooper minifig! I had to re-shoot the crowd shots as many times as you can see figs. Every fig required it's own shoot!

It’s crazy how Star Wars many years later would have elements like this in stuff like Andor and The Bad Batch. I watch this alongside the 2002 brick film Rise of the Empire, and it almost feels like they were meant to be together.

I will definitely say that Jay Silver's Rise of the Empire was an inspiration for Triumph! He definitely set the bar, so it was a great brickfilm to get to watch and try and aspire to

I sure did! Thought I responded to this question already, sorry. KZbin must have messed up the comment. All of the minifigs were stop motion, the clones were composited because I only had one. All of the ships were cgi except for one shot. Can you tell which one? I sure can, because it looks pretty bad!

It's the closest you can get to the Star Wars march without actually being instantly recognizeable. Only a fraction of the people who recognize Star Wars instantly will do the same for Holst. Also, like Gianlucapaul said, it's pretty much the same. I went through my collection of marches early on in the project to see what would for best, and I ended up going with Holst pretty early on.

@BrendanHenry
@BrendanHenry 4 жыл бұрын
Yeah! A million years ago... The shots of the crowd were done in a 3d space in After Effects, with a 3d camera moving past layers of stop motion minifigs (I only had 2 or 3 troopers). But a lot of it was done in 3d!

If I had the bricks to do this, I would have done it all with brick... And the time. I had two weeks, and I only had a single ship and a single clone trooper :) Most of my films use more bricks, I haven't really done much digital stuff since this one, and definitely none before it.

Well, it's the phrasing that was common in presidential speeches. Drawing out the speech to try and raise some patriotic emotions in the american public. I listened to a few, and then got my lead actor to imitate it.
