A walkthrough for one of the more mediocre Lego games, Lego Stunt Rally. I played all the way through Championship Mode, alternating with every character. Things I would like to point out...
-Before you start the game, go to the options menu (the gears in the upper right corner of the main menu) and turn the quality up to three stars. If you don't have this on, the character doesn't appear in the lower left corner in races (defeating the purpose of picking a character) and many extra effects will not play. Many don't seem to know about this, and it's quite annoying.
-I generally pick cars and tires that have better steering because steering seems to be far more important in this game than speed. That's why I apply the brakes a lot.
-On the last course I picked Wrench as my character instead of Chip because I decided to go with my favorite for the final course.
-Yes, I will show off the track builder sometime else.
This is a mediocre and lackluster racing game, as I had mentioned. I know it's a kid's game, but that doesn't explain why by sheer comparison of other Lego games, this one was dumbed down to the point of being boring. The change from over-the-shoulder to overhead and automatic steering made it feel like I was just watching a race and not actually playing it. And on top of that, you can win virtually every race just by holding the forward key and braking at every corner. Look, I get it. This is a kid's game. But when you're winning races by holding one key the entire time, something is wrong. Really, the best way to describe it is that it's like playing slot cars. I mean, it plays almost exactly the same - you just hold the trigger down and slow down so your car doesn't go flying off the track. The track builder is okay, and I would have overlooked not being able to build cars had it been over-the-shoulder, but because of the overhead view, it pretty much makes the track builder a throwaway, which really is a shame. All in all, this is probably one of the weakest Lego games. It's not that memorable, it's boring, and feels like a wasted concept. I don't understand why they went with such a simplistic approach.

I'm sorry, but this game is just... brilliant ! I remember I had such a blast when playing this as a kid ! Now you're playing it, you find it boring. But when you're 6 it's the best game on earth x)

Sorry, I never enjoyed this game even when I was a kid. I'm not entirely sure what's so "brilliant" about this game either. It's just so overly simplistic that I can't find enjoyment out of it. Plus, once you play either Lego Racers game or Drome Racers, you'll probably understand why I expected a whole lot more out of this game.

The lighting in the city stages is so creepy and nostalgic to me. It seems so artificial, like a sign of a larger world outside of it. Reminds me of Salvia trips I've had. Thanks for post this! And I agree, it's a rather cheap game, but I enjoyed it as a child none the less :)

+HumongousSoundtracks Well... I can see what you mean. I recently installed this game again after finding the CD behind my desk whilst moving house. And I'll have to admit- the game is definitely not as fun as I remember. The menu is ugly, racing was badly thought out.. and It's scary how it encouraged four players to share a keyboard. I won't even go into detail about how much simply pressing Alt+Tab fucks up the textures. It's a great concept but they just didn't put enough effort into it. I understand that they probably wanted to push out this game quickly to coincide with the 'Race' theme, despite the fact that sets don't really boost game sales by much. meh.

Well, if you really want to be that narrow, then probably this. But it doesn't even hold a candle to those two I mentioned. Creator: Knights Kingdom is mind-numbingly stupid and child-pandering, and Friends...between the fact that it has no Lego at all, hits the girl-show ghetto so badly even Barbie would blush, has almost no depth at all...yeah, honestly, Friends probably wins the title hands down.

I've never seen gameplay of this before, and boy is this not what I was expecting. When I was a kid and saw box art for this, I always thought it was Lego Racers with monster trucks on giant dirt tracks. Amazing concept! And now, 13 years later, here I am looking at this game and feeling everything I once knew and loved die on the inside. It's not you, man. It's me. Soul-crushing disappointment for what I thought it was going to be, but isn't.

Check out ReCharge RC on mobile, I got it out of curiosity and it reminds me SO MUCH of this game- it took me right back to my childhood. It's got the same camera angles, track customizations, environments, etc. It's hella fun

I remmeber playing this as a kid, and I really loved it (still do) The city atmosphere, cool cars, different rivals, and an ok track editor. Nowadays the game is really mediocre, and I would take Lego racers over it or any other racing game over it any day, but I will always love this game. THis is what nostalgia does to one I suppose.

How did you manage to get the skin to work? I have a copy of it, but I can’t seem to get it to open. It will install on my PC, but as soon as I go to hit the play button it hangs for a moment and then says that the program has stopped working. I have tried about half a dozen different compatibility changes to no avail. I have even tried installing it on Two different PCs. one of them had windows eight and the other had Windows 7 professional. I remember this game worked best on our machine that had windows 98 back in the day, and though we could make it load on our machines with windows XP, it would often hang and crash.

It's mostly just a bunch of full motion video CGI. It's way easier to make that look clean than using a game engine for animation.
