You can add reverse gear functionality by adding one of those blue 20-tooth gears with a pin hole on the output axle, meshing with the largest outside gear. Then, attach a third dark gray clutch piece to the end of the output axle. To run in reverse, put the gearbox on neutral, then engage the third clutch with the blue gear. In terms of the video, I suggest that you label the lengths of the axles, since it can get pretty unclear at times (especially around 1:22 where the other end was obscured by your hand.)
