Good improvements! Seeing this crawl just reinforces my belief that this really needs a "suspension" like the old British Scammell trucks, pivoting front axle with rear tandems to keep all wheels on the ground. But probably not doable without it turning into basically a full-on MOC.

I actually wished a differential lock as an option so people can just switch the lock or unlock at will. besides adds a few extra pieces for more possibilities and even of forced rear transmission.

The door gaps are a pointless thing tbh. Removing the center diff, ye, that'll help it cross country. Hand of God steering is a downgrade and should be left out if you want to make it a better RC truck. The biggest improvement you could make, however, would be to ditch the lego control system entirely and use proper hobby grade stuff. The biggest constraint I've seen in every single lego RC I've looked up in the past three weeks has stemmed from the lego control system. It just can't do the job very well. And IR control? You freakin' kiddin me with that one? Last IR controlled RC system I had...incidentally also a Lego system...was totally effing useless outdoors because the sun just drowned out the control signals. Obviously improved on this model(The set I had was sold in the early aughts) but still just not up to task for outdoor operation. A Hobbywing 1060EZ on 3s1500 lipo with a 13g metal gear servo for steering controlled by a frsky 3ch Tx would make this thing a boss off-road. The truly depressing thing about it is this setup would actually cost less than the LEGO IR system in this video... I've got a 42028 on order. Gonna RC the B model. It's getting a 1060EZ and I'll be using a servo to brake the tracks to steer it. Control it off the Futaba 10J I already have.
