Honestly, I blame that anti-war group for making a petition to cancel this awesome LEGO Technic set. I was so excited to get it once its available in stores but when it was announced it got cancelled cuz of the anti-war group, I was so angry.... I was looking forward to getting this set and yet it got cancelled thanks to that anti-war group.... 😡😡😡

I don't think that was the reason. The set has a gear mangling design fault. Unfortunately that was missed by the QC department at Lego.

@@sturmwind1180 its actually the anti-war group really... I searched up on the net on some articles and most of them point out it was that group who did the petition to cancel the set. And also the gear malfunction was found like a few weeks later after LEGO announced its cancellation of the set....

For the product already says "rescue" on the box and outer frame. Yes, planes like the V-22 Osprey happen to appear in the military ... but this one didn't have to at all. Just giving it their own spin.

I for one think it's incredibly stupid how this set got cancelled just because some people thought it "promoted" war and violence, even though Lego has made MANY battle vehicle sets from different series. Series like Star Wars, Marvel, Batman, Ninjago, and Dino Attack to name a few. I personally would really like to have a Lego Osprey in my collection.

In Australia they released them into our Target stores. That’s were most of us Aussies lucked out. I did get 3. Sold 1 on eBay but put a very low price on it but I was amazed in 10 minutes I was offered double my price. The other 2 will not be sold. 💙🇦🇺💙🇦🇺💙🇦🇺💙

Unfortunately being I live in the U.S. I was not fortunate enough to have a local store acquire this set and I am not willing to pay the insane resale price for it. So I plan on finding the required parts via Bricklink and possibly save some money. I think I will change the general color scheme a bit to make it look more fire rescue.

my dad works for boeing and he said that they probably cancelled it because it’s a trademarked aircraft, like this thing is used to carry soldiers in and out and used for military work, not for kids enjoyment.

So, I did this mod and mine still struggles. This is the first set I have bought since power functions, so I can’t compare the idle spool speed to anything I own. I have used batteries in it currently, so that could be the issue. I built this set original, then the first gear mod, and now it is built with this current mod. Everything works, but tilting up while spinning basically does not work. Ill update when it has fresh batteries.
