I love this, it has thin body and full suspension incredible.

This is definitely the way to go. It would also be very cool to see different configurations of this: - horizontal push rods (side to side instead of front to back), with an engine bay between the front wheels. - torsion bar rear suspension. - passenger cabin between the front- and rear wheels, payload above the rear wheels. (In other words, more like a passenger car but with the same efficient engineering)

Great job, also very impressive you managed to fit steering. I would love to see this thing with a sleek body on it.

Very cool but I think you need to look up Ackermann steering geometry.

I believe a formula one car uses reverse Ackermann... the outside wheel turns sharper than the inside wheel. It's to do with slip angles and tyre temps. Not that I am saying this is a F1 car... just a really nice job!

Very well done. As others pointed out, the differential would make steering better. Which tool did you use to animate and design this?

A really nice design, I've played with pushrod stuff lots. One thing I've found is you have to be very careful with eccentric loading with lego mechanisms. eg. here the shocks are a block higher than the pivot location for the rocker arm. This will add bending through the arm, through the arm pivot, through the shock pivot etc. this adds a LOT of friction which greatly reduces the function of the suspension. Hopefully that's not an issue for you?!
@olegchetcin
@olegchetcin Ай бұрын
that is true, but in this case it seems to be working ok with hard springs

It would be even better if it had an open differential in the front and a closed one in the rear.

do you mean that you don't have an option to open the 3d model on computer that is linked in the description? It is possible for me to create a step-by step instructions but it would just take a huge amount of time, they don't generate automatically from the model (well, they do but the result is almost always is garbage)
