DAT BUGGY IS SO FREKING AWSOME IT WILL BE A PERFECT BODY SHELL FOR HOBBY RC CARS

If it were aluminium, yes. Plastic chassis with no bearings for moving parts start to wear as soon as you run it outdoors and get dust into the moving parts. It also gets hot very quickly due to friction and there is too much backlash/play in the suspension linkages for it to be competitive in the RC hobby market. The general shape and some of the concepts used such as direct RWD are brilliant ideas though.

@@S.McCall_ICNPro an all aluminum chassis bends like crazy, what you really need is parts that need to be stiff (chassisplate, shock tower, motor mount etc.) from aluminum and parts that can be a little less stiff from high quality nylon plastic, it's be muuch more durabl that way.

Nice design and excellent photography. I see you used a switch in the front of the cab to make the drive motors go in opposite directions. Very good build. I'm surprised at the speed.

Great model, but after assembly and tests revealed a lack of rear suspension: if you do a few times back and forth movement, the central axis of the falls .. need to strengthen this part of the ball joint in Crawlers (9398)

Does the use of a switch slow down the motor it is being connected to?
@S.McCall_ICNPro
@S.McCall_ICNPro 7 жыл бұрын
Nope, just reverses the polarity (it's called a polarity switch) and therefore the direction the motor rotates.

in the rebrickable parts list there is a switch needed what is that for please if it has no lights?
@S.McCall_ICNPro
@S.McCall_ICNPro 7 жыл бұрын
The switch reverses the direction of one of the drive motors so that they both rotate in either the "forwards" or "backwards" direction relative to the car. When they do this, you will notice that one will rotate clockwise while the other rotates counter-clockwise (relative to each individual motor to achieve the desired effect. It's just because they're mounted facing away from each other really.
