I agree they should be autobots. I came up with a story behind them. These twins are good friends with arcee and her sisters. Used for recon missions as well as chases, the mix up twins are strong when alone but stronger when together. They have two different minds but their minds are connected so they can read each other's mind. They have a wheel used as a buzz saw which allows them to slice and dice walls, enemies, and anything else that gets in the way of their mission.

One thing you could do to make them distinguishable from each other is to mirror which side the wheels appear on. But they would still look identical in vehicle mode.

Make them brothers with opposite opinions on life, making one align with the decepticons and one align with autobots. But they do not side so that they don't have to fight.

nice! the bike mode is superb and clean, and the robot mode is unique, also, as an alternative, i think if you swing the heel all the way down, they can become a part of the lower leg, and making the length of the lower leg more even with the upper leg. but overall, love it! i probably gonna use these guys as an inspiration for my future legoformer.

Instead of having them be exactly the same, you could mirror the design so that one would have the front wheel on their right hand, and the other would have it on their left hand. Just a suggestion to make the Mix Up twins a little more unique
