I found you doing a search for tree tutorials. Thank you very much for sharing!!! Your building arena looks similar to mine. I also use Plano 3700 series containers. I love them because they are dust free and I can easily see and find the parts I need. Also, I am hoping to get a Rebrickmat for Christmas.

11:56 I've been using the "twigs" like made since this vid. No more branches falling off and adds branch detail to the trees. Been doing this on ground cover as well. I knew there was a reason for filling a large PAB box with these a few months ago. And used them to fill voids in other PAB boxes.

I haven't seen most of these tree builds before. The oak is great. The bushes are Nice Parts Usage for the vine/coral piece. The fir tree is interesting. I've seen several evergreen designs I like. My main theme is castle / D&D and I love Forestmen. I converted the Ideas Treehouse for them and want to surround it with at least 10 different types of tree. Finding these is a big help. Parts for different trees overlap, so I want to finalize and part count all designs before I order from a Bricklink bulk store. Love to hear you shop with Bevin's Bricks. I get flexi tube & lights from him.

the lego store near me had the 1x1 round stud w/ hole and 2x2 dimension 3 leaf design part, i got a $17 box of them and now i almost feel like I have TOO many lmao, but your tree designs look great and use a lot of them, so i can make a good bunch of really large thick trees now!

Dude it's one week i follow you, all the Washington monument from the beginning and you're awesome, I'm enjoyin a lot these natural features in Lego and the trees but lemme say, I recognize a weed plant when I see one, and Sir the first technique you show it's the most beautiful cannabis plant I've ever seen in Lego. Great job!! *edit while watching - the 4th you show looks a lot like vines, I mean wine vines, grapes. When they're young or in less tall setups like on the hills, or when they're just left to grow on the ground to take them off branches. Indeed the second one is the coolest til now, it resembles mediterranean pinetrees, or as you fully built'em maybe the Savanna trees from Minecraft, the orange wood can't recall exact name. There's many room-size city builders that might take a break for some suggestions here, not to be dork they all build great stuff I'm only envious, tho they could variate a bit more taking inspiration! Uuu, Quercus Magnifolia if I remember correctly the Oak. looks great! I didn't know the existence of those white overpowered snot bricks tho. Those are cornerstones, quite literally! This is so relaxing.

Especially when you start getting into those larger trees, I could see you being able to capture the growth patterns of real tree species (for example, where I live a lot of our pines/spruces etc tend to grow a lot more long and narrow and drop a lot of their lower, older branches)
@Beregorn883 ай бұрын
7:24 you can use droid arms, skeleton arms and mechanical claws to add thickness to it; the problem is their availability in useful colours. If you are fine with a bit of black in your bushes, you are golden...

The most common mistake I see when building trees is people build them far too small. I really try to build in scale, or close to it (~40-45:1, with 42:1 being ideal). Keeping this in mind, a 10ft. tree would be 2.86 in. tall. Or, a 50ft. tree would be 14.3 in tall.
@bricksculpt3 ай бұрын
Yeah scale is always hard with minifigs. It's not just trees. If houses were built to monifig scale a large city would fit like 6 houses and that's it. You kind of have to build everything scaled down.
@ramseyturner3213 ай бұрын
@@bricksculpt I don't fully agree. The modular buildings do quite a good job of staying relatively close to scale. Or, as close as one can get when minifigs are basically giant toddlers.
@bricksculpt3 ай бұрын
I disagree I bet if you look at the measurements of a modular building compared to a minifig and a real building with a real person they would be tiny. Just look at the amount of interior space.
