I just realised this, the clone turbo tank from the advent calendar is in scale to the venator, so you could stick a couple in the hangar if you wanted to

@@collectpanda3350 It would be a bit tricky, as for example you need a part from the second to last bag to build the frame, but if you just don't apply the large subassemblies to the frame as you build them it will make it much easier

I’m so glad you did this video and gave the designer the attention he deserves! I discovered this mod the day after it was posted on Rebrickable, and I immediately bought the directions and ordered the pieces. The designer did update the directions, so do pay attention to that. I haven’t built my Venator yet, so I’ll be doing the modifications during the original build. I also bought a light kit from Light my Bricks and ordered extra lights to light the landing bay. Fortunately, I already have the printed pieces as I ordered them from another company. I can’t wait to build this beast. The final display will be on a top shelf, so the mods really aren’t necessary, but at least I know they are there. 😊

I haven’t watched your videos in years and I just remembered your channel this morning went and found it and man you have come along way. I remember when you were building your earlier clone wars sets and watching your time lapses as a kid I would watch them for hours brought me so much joy! Love this. The only thing I probably would've done differently is made it the same width for the whole length to match the Venator hangar in the Clone Wars animated series. Then you'd have space for more detailing on the flooring.

Hmm venator class(Clone Wars). This will give me an ideas. I can use a venator class vessel in civil war. For edge of the Empire classes. To choose from. Because I did a lot of research&modding to the game. First: You only get: Three class ships: Firespray patrol boat,Freighter/Trooper transport. You select the ship and use whatever let over from the purchase price. Which I found really unfair and it’s one of many things that sucks the fun out of the game. So I made it so: Pick the ship you want from clone wars class vessels - Freighters,patrol boats,Troop transports&etc. if you pick a clone wars class ship: U receive 120,000 credits to do upgrades,attachments/improvements for the ship parts. Or if you pick a patrol boat,freighter/Troop transport. You’re at the mercy of the GM. GM chooses the attachment/upgrade/improvement. The item installed on your ship might have some disadvantages/advantages(it will be roll of the dice).

Can you also do these kind of modification videos on other UCS sets, like the UCS Slave 1? I've always thought about moding the dark green semi-sphere's so that they actually have holes in them. Brick Vault did something like this, but never released any instructions.

For everyone asking, yes this is compatible with the light my bricks kit! Just be very careful to not disconnect any of the wires and just leave the wired panels dangling. It’s a bit tricky, but there is more than enough space to hide and conceal the wires while still building the hangar bay!

If I decide to buy another UCS Venator I might try this, but since I have a light my bricks kit in my current UCS Venator, I dare not try to mess with undoing all the wiring in fear I might break them. I plan on getting a second one anyway to make it a imperial era venator, or just go complete fantasy and make a 501st Clone Legion Venator and replace all the red tiles with blue ones.

I asked this question to the designer on Rebrickable. It can be done during the mod, and he suggested where to begin the mod during the Lego building directions. You will also need to retrieve a piece from the second to last bag to use earlier in the mod build.
