Fight lineup for the special is as follows: • Growler Vs. Block Lobster Vs. Stinger • DUCK Vs. Project Shadow • Atlas Vs. Weld-Dor M • Copperhead Vs. Willbert • Crabbentine Vs. Hangry Vs. Squire • Waddledee Meta Vs. Emulator • Sweepy Vs. Scarlet Serpent • Ganymede Vs. Bolts Vs. Mastiff • Aggro Wobba Vs. Megalovania

In that case, I'm gonna predict Block Lobster (although Stinger may be a surprise), Duck!, Atlas, Willbert (Copperhead could also be a surprise), Hangry (so it can finally prove itself without being burdened by Bolts), Emulator, Sweepy, Ganymede and Aggro Wobba.

BTW, I'm interested to see how Fight Number 5 will be introduced. For some reason, I can imagine it as thus.... "Next up, our second three-way melee between P1 GTP, Bolts and Crontsblo... oh, wait, what's that? Oh, OK... I've just been informed that all three robots have broken down, but the teams have agreed to do the next best thing. Send in the minibots!"

Very good fun to end out the year on. You've well and truly earned some rest from all the editing! I can neither confirm nor deny asking about niche references and being locked in the shed. :P Loved taking part in the RW rumble. Little Growler had the chance to prove it can last more than a few seconds if it's facing someone other than Matty Vasquez. :P The minibot rumble was adorable. Waddledee vs Emulator was some gourmet damage. I don't think I'd drunk enough for Sweepy vs Scarlet Serpent. Was laughing out loud at the Mastiff Ganymede Bolts fight. Happy New Year!

I could give my thoughts on the battle, but everyone else has already stated what I wanna say (although the fact that two of my picks to win ended up winning when they really shouldn't have doesn't 100% sit well with me). Instead, I wish to give my condolences to the eight robots who will no longer be with us. DIABOICAL TOOTHPICK To me, the most disappointing retirement. Diabolical Toothpick could definitely have a very unpredictable run, going from being able to best champions to being unable to beat jokebots in the same season, but it had a cool design and, I'm just gonna say it now, one of the most epic names in Lego Wars. I can understand it would probably be outdated by this point, especially with the likes of Petunia and Quantum being much better crushers, but still a shame. FIRESTORM Really? THIS is the robot you announce as retiring? I'm not judging, bu- OK, I suppose I AM judging, but let's be honest, Firestorm was, well, kinda rubbish. I thought a robot of that caliber would be the kind of machine you'd just sweep under the rug and leave it at that. FABULOUS GEOFF A real shame that an inferior sequel is seemingly what forced Geoff into retirement, because 2 Geoff 2 Fabulous was easily the best robot of the series and still had potential, or at least I felt it did. Either way, I hope we get another robot willing to take up the rainbow colouration in honour of the former 4th placer. BLOCK OF NAPALM Yeah, probably not too surprising. As endearing as it was in Series 3 in particular, it couldn't really cut it in this series with its only victory being against Annie because stupid driving go BRRRRR. Come to think of it, Pain was the only victory that Block of Napalm felt like it truly earned, that wasn't down to poor driving, random breakdowns or being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Still a shame. RUSTY Also not super surprising. I think Rusty only had two wins to its name during its whole campaign and they were both against jokebots. I love having jokebots in the series, don't get me wrong, ALL robot combat shows, official or fanmade, should have at least three or four machines you can have a laugh with, but there's just so many better options. TIN In retrospect, probably a good choice for retirement. I really don't want to downplay its victory over Atlas, but aside from that, Tin never really performed well against one of the LW-elites. It had a great run in what was a really, REALLY stacked heat, but the moment it got to the knockout stage, it was clear it was out of its league. Maybe it can be converted into a Lego Carbide? We need at least one modern Robot Wars replica that isn't Bolts. BLOCK LOBSTER A shame to end Block Lobster's time in Lego Wars after putting up its best run yet, defeating heavy favourites Duck! and fighting 23 Red to a standstill. But I can understand why. That flipper never really functioned how it should have done and having to go through two play-in matches in a row doesn't set a good standard. Still a shame though. KING B CUBED So, I've generally being rather snarky with the rest of the entries, so I'll just drop this for King B and get it out of the way - its drive was so inconsistent. I wanted to get that down because WHAT a way to bow out of the competition. After a very shaky heat, King B went on a war path, performing the best it's ever done and taking out machines it really had no business defeating - getting its revenge on Crontsblo, absolutely dominating defending champion Aggro Wobba and manhandling 23 Red with ease. I know its retirement was always on the cards, but man, what a way to go out. Rest easy, King B, you earned it. Also, with this out of the way, it appears that only ONE robot who previously finished in fourth place is still active, what with Nellego long retired and both Geoff and King B going out this year. Is this the start of a Fourth Place curse? Will WaddleDee be next?

Ok, there's no such thing as a joke bot first and foremost. I firmly believe that. No BattleBots competitor has gone haha lol gonna throw $5000+ to have a laugh. There are robots that are built for fun in lower weight classes but there are no joke robots in Lego Wars. Some builds are built for entertainment alone - that was the entire build ethos for Bolts after I drove Nuts at Reading Brick Show in 2022 but it's no joke. It's fun. Also, I'm going to justify each bot's retirement, a little insight into what we've discussed as a team: - Diabolical Toothpick - A series 1 build that's been reskinned a few times but honestly has always underperformed and is now outclassed by the bots coming through. - Firestorm - was built because of a bet and didn't really work ever... it's a shame but it just doesn't translate very well in Lego - same as Cassius in that respect. - Fabulous Geoff - Geoff was never the same after Pain blew it to bits. There are better horizontals coming through but I'm sure the rainbow will be carried by another good bot soon. - Block Of Napalm - It's not up to the same build levels as what Lego Wars expects. - Rusty - has competed more in Lego Wars than it has in BattleBots, it's time. - Tin - This was the hardest one for me because I've driven Tin a lot but again it doesn't translate in Lego as well as other bots do. The forks gave it a bit of life but it's large, bulky and fragile in places, it's difficult to translate a hit with and thus, it's also time for it to go. - Block Lobster - fully my decision, it's a series 2 robot that came in a year late and hasn't really performed or has performed as well as I think it ever will. There's nowhere to go with it from here so it will be retired. I'll still take it to live shows and things for fun though! - King B Cubed - King B was marked for retirement from before filming started. Its fights were lacklustre in Series 3 and production all agreed that it would go out by Viking burial... and then it won that heat and got 4th overall. It was its best outing BY FAR and a good one to end it on. Hope that clears things up :)

And there are no plans to retire Waddledee as far as I know
@killdozer779211 ай бұрын
@@WorldofWoodrow Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think you misunderstand my claim. "Some builds are built for entertainment alone" Yeah, that's what most fans would consider a "jokebot", to be fair. A robot built more to have fun rather than strictly to win. And since you admit that Bolts is made for entertainment, which by definition makes it a jokebot in most people's eyes, your claim that there are no jokebots isn't really true. "No BattleBots competitor has gone haha lol gonna throw $5000+ to have a laugh." I know it was several seasons ago, but how could you forget Battle Royale with Cheese?

If you care, the opening text scroll reads: ...best yet with 60 robots gunning for the crown! The robots are made of Lego and some of them even move, however not all of them, especially those that look like Mexico duck Pokemon. Weird that. Anyway, here at Lego Wars, we invite poor safety and no build rules, it's natural selection out there kids - only the fittest survive. You put a hand in, you get it cut off or lightly mauled by a toy made for children. We made Lego dangerous, bitches, this is our world and you live here by invitation only. Pain failed to entertain and it got yeeted into the sun harder than Wicmeid and Nellego. May you rest in agony. Anyways, Lego Wars, only the greatest robot shall survive, dogs will be beaten (looking at you, Whiplash), Wobbafett rules supreme, and no matter how many times you ask, Sweepy will get wheels over Mastiff's cold dead body, and we all know that dog doesn't lie down and die. This series we see the stars of Reading Brick Show (not you David Clark) as they ask "what happened here? Why are there so many niche references and why have you locked me in a shed?

We'd love to but it's not possible in most cases due to the bots running on 4 channels total and 2 robots will usually fill those 4 channels.
