I bought the 2014 Star Destroyer sealed for $400 about 2 years ago and I am really annoyed at this news. The first playscale OT Star Destroyer in 10 years and its leaving shelves after a year. Completely ridiculous. 😮‍💨

Usually around December sets will stop being produced (at least the RETIRING ones) and once they're sold out, they're sold out and gone. It depends on how long the last batch takes to sell I think. Also, yes! This was also my first star destroyer and it's so worth it! Minifigs are solid, build is amazing, so detailed and great interior. 100% recommend especially if you can get a good deal!

That Desert Skiff & Sarlacc Pit is a $40-50 set at best, and in all honesty, should have been a part of the overpriced Jabba's sail barge. It's pretty obvious they are trying to manufacture some FOMO by retiring this set early. It's almost like they made it thinking it could be a GWP, then realized they could milk it for all it's worth.

@ Keep,an eye out for new/sealed sets on the secondary market. It could be the price goes up, but sometimes people buy as an investment and have to cash out early and at a loss. It’s not all too common, but not unheard of. Good luck with hunt! ✌️

Seasonal sets would be great, if they only released them for 6 months the time, it would lead to lower stock and higher demand, and also a greater variety of sets in the long term. That would be great for investors

UCS = Ultimate Collectors Series they have to be on for a while to maximise sales. I'm trying to track down the Barc Speeder, Possibly the Ghost and Phantom 2 but if I'm only getting one easily the Star Destroyer I need that Cal Kestis. Wanted Saw but I don't really care for TPM. Droideka I also want but I just don't like the retail price. A lot of these are kinda retiring too soon. I may get the Mando sets that are supposed to pair together as it's a cheap wave imo. All of these might get pushed to the wayside as I want to get some Brickvault stuff/custom MOCs.

Sets produced have a shelf life of 1-3 years, then they retire, and they go crazy on the aftermarket. Then, years after they retire, they might put out a remake so that newer fans can buy one without paying hundreds of dollars on sketchy 3rd party websites.

I do like the Xwing ugly set but I brought the Solo tie fighter and have no use for the new one. I also kinda wanted that ROTJ set but the price is horrible. I can only justify the Star Destroyer

4:46 why lego,WHYYYY, fricking milenium falcon from RISE OF SKYWALKER stayed till last year or something like that and this small but beatifull star destroyer gets to retire after 1 and half a year.I always wanted to have star destroyer , I remember when I was 5 years old i saw on lego catalog from 2014 and I immediately wanted it but because I was 5 I couldn't get it .And now I have a problem I have around 250 $I could buy it now but I have a problem because I need to buy ps5 and gta vi ,AND ALSO A NEW TV in my room because HDMI ports on my LG plasma TV don't work on playstations they broken and old TV. I don't want to play gta vi in living room. I live in eastern Europe where salaries are not high.
