The 2024 NHL Entry Draft is filled with a lot of top NHL prospects. Some are elite, and others could be even seen as franchise NHL prospects. Need physical agitating wingers RW Liam Greentree from the neighboring Windsor Spitfires seems like a great story for Detroit. Liam's skating is described as a work in progress but can get better. He has the size SY wants at 6'2" 198 lbs Greentree compares to Jason Roberts. RW Michael Brandsegg- Nygard also is physical style forward at 6' 1" 194 lbs.....middle six PP specialist RW Beckett Sennecke. Plays that coveted 200 foot game SY looks for in all forwards. 6' 2" 181lbs.

I think SY trades up because he has assets to burn but if nobody wants tk play then he takes the best guy that fell in the draft. ASP was one of those and so was Oliver Moore. Other players who fell in that range were Frank Nazar and Jonathan Lekkerimaki. There will be options.

Two of our top 4 wingers this year are pretty old, so I could see them going for that. We desperately need high end centers so may we keep taking swings at that. There are a ton of great defenseman available so maybe the best guy available will be on D?

If greentree falls that would be so awesome. I think he’s going to be amazing. But him/iginla/eiserman I’d love. Eiserman is a work in progress but I think our staff in Detroit could get him in shape and he’d be a raw, explosive goal scorer with playmaking potential

Lindstrom won't get past the top 10. I just dont have a great feeling about this draft. Of course some guys will become stars and others depth guys, but I just see a bunch of young guys who dont exactly make big splashes. I'm a Hawks fan and expect a top 4 pick. After Celebrini....its a roll of the dice. Lindstrom? Silayev? They could use some size.
