Well presented and interesting. Took me back to my Microbiology class in college. Tomorrow I'm introducing nod factors to my tenth grade biology class, after which they'll plan experiments to examine the effect of Rhizobia and sow Lupin seeds to decorate and enrich the schoolyard. Thank you very much.

That's such an amazing process. I have a very basic laymans question if each legume species has a specific rhizome is it a good idea not to crop rotate but to leave my peas in the same area too allow that rhizome to multiply ?

I was repotting a mystery plant that my friend gave me a year ago. it had not grown at all over the year so I thought it was dead. when I cleaned the roots from the old soil, I saw 2 huge “rock” looking things attached to the roots. after doing some research, I think my plant must be a legume 🤣 im so interested! I might look into master programs for plants

Protein malnutrition/deficiency, is a nice and pleasant way to say profound starvation and lacking food of any kind. Feed them any edible plant and protein isn't an issue goes away. Legumes seem like a good choice.
