Dear @timd9430, thank you for your comment. Nice idea! We use the Leica Geosystems red. As mentioned in the video, this has also some practical benefits like fast measurement speed which is needed for a real-time solution with high accuracy.

Leica iCON iCS50 and the iCON vPen offers the accuracy of 1mm accuracy up to 10m When using the vPole, the accuracy is 3mm at 50m, with the vSphere mounted on the bottom of the vPole. How far away can you resection from ?

It is possible to do a resection: • up to 250m using Leica Round Prisms • up to 250m using Reflectorless mode • up to 150m using Reflective Tapes • up to 40m using Leica vTargets with automated aiming and target recognition. Using the Setup with Known Points method, you can of course combine and mix all target types.
