Fascinating interview. So Leica made their APS-C line of lenses too good so they decided they had to make the next gen full frame lenses even better to maintain a differential. The more I learn about Leica the more I understand why they are held in such esteem. They don't sit on their laurels, if they chose to they have a lot to sit on, instead they just concentrate on producing quality. Would love to own one.

It is nice to have a person (like you) who is a sensible advocate for what Leica and Leica lens design is all about . I was fascinated to hear how good the CL lenses are and that the SL primes were bench marked to achieve same line pair and contrast delivery as their smaller cousins - thanks for the video.
