Probably the best video I've seen from this location. This place is a rail enthusiasts ultimate location. Can't wait to see that 58 up and running. Also the 37s and 91s look rather smart in the euro livery. Great video and thanks for sharing.

The Class 91s look superb in Europhoenix livery. I hope they do that in model form!

Superb . Best video of Leicester Depot ever. Used to cycle there most nights from school with my mates in the old steam days when it had a turntable and coal towers.

Great shots of the locos at the LIP. It's just so exciting seeing what's there and I hope we will see one of the 37/9s back in traffic soon and also one of those Bones. 58023 is looking especially good! :)

Memories of Swain Street bridge, the Birdcage and shed 15C, all we need is a video of 38C, although there weren't any video cameras, remember 61008 Kudu and GT3?

It looks like they have both 37/9s, I just hope they keep them in working order so they can hopefully be preserved again and not used for parts like 37906.

Always cheers me to see a Crompton lurking on for'n rails, what were the departmentals at 17:21, the forward one looks like it has a badly done roof, are they ex SR EMU stock perchance converted? I love the old departmentals, used to see the sandite and deicers often parked at Grove Park sheds, I even rode in the square 4SUB set that whizzed around every winter and a few others.

Great video. Presumably the mucky 37 has been withdrawn from service? Near the end of the video was a coach that looked like something had run into it. Was it meant to look like that, or was it just something to do with the camera angle?
@swearingkevo Жыл бұрын
Everything here is to be preserved or is already up and running, and that coach at the end was just the camera angle, thx for viewing

Could someone tell me what the purpose is this depot. Is it just used as a dumping ground for stored locos, or is it an actual maintenance depot or what?
@perthdave1004 жыл бұрын
It is an actual maintence depot.

What are the class 91s going to be doing in their euro phoenix livery?
@karlosbricks24134 жыл бұрын
It's expected they'll be exported to Eastern Europe, and be regeared there for freight work once they're there.
@theunknownwarrior6324 жыл бұрын
It's a shame because they are beautiful locomotives but it is what's best. Like the class 86s and 56s that are in Hungary I guess

That class 27 in the green undercoat had all it`s bodywork repaired / overhauled by CTMS at Cranmore a couple of years ago..... i understand that the owners money ran out hence still in undercoat paint, mechanically the loco is complete but it`s interior needs putting back together again......... not sure what it`s doing here and who owns it now ?
