Aside from Arditi and Wardruna/Einar, I haven't found anything similarly good like this yet. Anyone any ideas? I quite enjoyed many Faroese kvaedi too. Many similar bands seem to have a kind of pretentious and overly modern sound.

Try out also new Burzum/Varg albums (dark-ambient/European music). Also if you can get into neo-folk i'd suggest German band Faun.

Turns out the last Forndom album is pretty good. So thanks for that tip. I'm currently liking that album more than anything else. Arditi and Legionarii are decent too, but satisfy a different appetit. I can't get into Faun for some reason, although technically they're decent. I think the problem is the total lack of any musical concept whatsoever. Burzum I've known for about 17 years or so. I've enjoyed most of his releases. He's slowly starting to lose his firm grip on accepted reality though. Heilung is pretty bad. LEAF is a tryhard overcommercialised band. There doesn't seem be much left, aside from private individuals sharing stuff on youtube. Yeah, and Ruhr Hunter is ok as well but as with Arditi etc, it's a different ball game.
