Maybe that's because he hasn't done it in 40 years? He also didn't write any real hit songs - he sang covers or recorded songs written for him, people like him are a dime a dozen - if he hadn't had previous fame as a child actor, he would have never gotten a record deal, so, calling him an "artist" is a stretch. He was a pretty little, pre-packaged star promoted for that purpose. He threw his whole career away on dope and crippling his best friend when he wrecked his car. I'd also like to point out that he's singing a song called "I was made for dancing" and he can't dance, lol.
