I’ve not walked down Bradshawgate for a long time. It’s so sad seeing all the rubbish being dumped in the ginnels. It was such a bustling place - I hope it still is.

I take it you filmed this on a Sunday? Hopefully it looks better on a weekday. I am 70 years old and was born in Rugby Rd, Leigh. It breaks my heart to see this wonderful town so run down. But isn't it the same everywhere? How strange it is that in my youth, just after WW2 Leigh looked so prosperous. All the parks were well kept. People had a sense of pride and community. We have had no world wars for a long time and look at us now. Thatcherism and greed have brought us to this place. So sad.

Hi Janet. You’re right of course, everywhere appears to be going to the dogs, not just in Leigh. I took this last Monday ( around 8:30 a.m. if I remember correctly. Try and have a nice evening.

Used to be a vibrant and welcoming place before the pedestrianisation. Disgraceful the amount of litter that is being dropped.
