No, demos are a preview version of a song, the singers record the parts and melodies separately, not all at once, to see how each melody, voice, rhythm sounds when everything is put together in one track. That's why demos sometimes sound "unfinished" because it's really just a draft. After drafting, then an entire audio treatment was carried out on the track, melodic and rhythmic transition adjustments to arrive at the final track. Sometimes, producers and singers don't always like how these drafts sound, so several songs are discarded, not every demo becomes a final song and is shelved.
