I think Governments did not want to give him the 'spotlight' because they were worried that he might expose all their dirty deeds (past ,present and possibly future), now that he is gone they are relived. Other prominent figures who have the same type of gifts governments also sees them as some kind of a threat. The man had a profound effect on me back then and today, forty-five years later, I still treasure the wisdom, compassion and foresight of this great son of the African soil. Life has not been kind to Baba Mutwa and his family, yet he has made peace with his past. A true legend among men.

I promise it hurt my heart to hear he passed. I'm not the kind of person that gets impressed or inspired easily because I'm very spiritual and worldly concepts and ideology dont appeal to me. But I said there are two people I would have loved to meet in this century. Credo mutwa was someone I was looking forward to meeting. What a blessing it must have been to learn from him.
