I never understood the partner's getting paid for a divorce (as we both earn decently) until somebody explained it differently. For example, if a woman sacrifices her career to support you in yours, takes care of the kids and empowers you to be successful. Then you get a divorce, but she has lost those years NOT growing her own career and investing in you and the family. She could be left starting from an entry-level position at an older age, completely disadvantaged with nothing to show for supporting you.

I never understood people who would care more about "their money" than about the wellbeing of their children and former spouse after divorce. How can someone be so petty to feel any satisfaction in leaving their own children and the person they loved for many years struggling to survive? Shouldn't the goal be to minimise any unnecessary burdens and struggles for the sake of preserving any contact and love for the children? Why would anyone intentionally leave their family worse off? Why would anyone strive for leaving the world worse off than before? I don't get people who want to see others hurt and broken instead of having a positive impact. How is not not obvious for everybody, that if someone wants their partner to just "give up" goals and dreams for the sake of a marriage where only one person gets to pursue their goals while being supported by the other for no credit, contract or compensation, then all the aqired benefits are NOT one person's gain, but a team effort??? You can only keep a loving relationship going, when you're able to share and reciprocate, so if your partner supports your endevors, you should support theirs, when you agree to place your bets on one career and neglect the other, then you have to do the opposite after securing some success, so focus on the other partner's career and play second fiddle next season. If one partner is fine with always being in the same role and doesn't expect that kind of reciprocation and validation, then the least they deserve is the financial compensation. What other outcome is there? You're not paying someone for the divorce, you're paying them for all the previous unpaid years they already endured by your side and you're paying for the current and future security of your offspring.

I LOVE Leila's videos lately. First and foremost she persued her own style (the pink, the font) and then also the more "produced" styled look. It's SO good. Also, can we talk about how gorgeous she looks?

I love that the direction for most of these are not opinionated but rather than guidance about being able to be honest about what you want. Everyone wants different things what works for someone else may not work for you.

I make it a point of never doing business with anyone who I cannot have a mature financial discussion with, about money. I am traditional when it comes to finances and have expectations for men to pay for everything and yes I agree with Laila best to talk about it. I personally talk about it early in relationship as I don’t want to waist time. Money in itself is a dynamic and energy and nr 1 of divorces happen due to money 100% this should be known.

much appreciate your energy!! Be authentic, communicate! i was so afraid to talk to my wife because she would feel hurt, attacked for anything i would say but she had no problem treating me like a her slave. It boils down to CHOICE live in love, or live in fear. and it is a daily choice, it is not one time choice. I love Lieila compassionate approach which comes from being authentic& not letting emotions build up.

A lot of men aren't capable of having these conversations with a partner but if they were they wouldn't be as likely to get trapped by someone that sees them as the ATM. So many men see these topics coming up during dating as a red flag instead of being treated as an equal.

I wonder if maybe evaluate the person/relationship based on values (& habits). Don't ignore "red" or "yellow" flags. Ask questions to help you understand their mentality & believes in more depth Don't make assumptions good or bad.

Women should make men sign a ‘prebaby’ agreement before having children, since the cost of having a child for a woman is not paid, and women who work as mothers, cleaning, cooking, raising, and educating, work more than 17 hours a day, don’t get paid anything, and are made to feel like their work is worthless, when it’s harder than running a company. When you become a mother, you will see and understand. (17 hours a day, no vacations, every day, and available 24 hours. )

Simple way for finances. 1) Dont move in together until you are married. Share literally everthing once you are married. Do not view as a divide but as one big pot for everyone. Look at it as a team effort for everything and holistically. Share the good and bad of your partners financial habits.
