Love your analysis mate. Just subscribed! I was at the game last night, and although we had a few guinness alright, I can tell you, Jordie Barrett has added something special already. His communication with Prendergast and Jimmy OBrien in the back field during stoppages in play, that try saving steal, and his 2nd try in 2 games, but just his relentless aggression, I can say without doubt, he will be the difference this season. We will play him anywhere. He's that good! We still have furlong, lowe , keenan and sheahan among others to return, so yeah, lets not take the fact that Toulouse just put 60+ points on Exeter too lightly or heavily just yet in december. There's a long way to go and Leinster are heating up nicely. I feel this is our year. Love from Dublin. Oh yeh, P.S. The small matter of RG Snyman, what an absolute beast and a freak of nature. We've also got your nienaber in the crows nest..... Give us a few weeks, we'll impress you with the champagne rugby then my friend. Cheers . Robert

Tough match , again Jordie Barrett my MOTM , a joy to watch this guy live ! He will be better at 12 but still amazing always seems to be in right position always there to take a pass , so fast so intelligent Leinster attack has deteriorated since Stuart Lancaster left no doubt and libe outs 😢 great reviews keep it going love it

Has the attack not deteriorated because the emphasis is on defence (South Africa anyone) Leinster were one of the great entertainers 2 and 4 years ago then Nienbhar came in and they have changed their style. I actually think they may win eat this year and beat the great Toulouse but it'll be close. If it is as good as last years final I don't give a shi* who wins ❤

I was at the match and take the win for sure but tough watch. The lineouts were a disaster and nullified Sam Prendergast's great line kicking. Clermont were well up for it and really challenged Leinster physically so hats off to them. My Man of the Match was Porter...his defensive run back was amazing at one point never mind his scrummaging which was brilliant.

The first 30 minutes looked like being a classic, then it degenerated. Leinster rectified ther disicpline issues from last week, and in fact competed really well in the scrums, out-doing a big Clermont pack...but the lineout absolutely fell apart. To manage to win that without a functioning lineout was testament to their defence, but they'll go nowhere if they don't fix that swiftly, it's a huge part of their attacking set piece and hamstrung their attack all night. Porter (that chase back!), Barrett, Dorris all had good games, but the standout was Prendergast. He just has that feel to him...that feel of the extra second or two on the ball, that the ones capabe of being top class always seem to have. His range and timing of pass, drawing players to him, then sending a variety of short or long passes is just so impressive for a lad his age, and he's incredibly aware of what's on. He has a lot to learn still, but he is so promising.

Playing poorly but still winning games, the difference here is (leinster supporter), they arnt rectifing the poor and the games keep coming. Not going to get anywhere like this, despite barret and rg. Positive, new young tight head and gus our fourth place hooker doing well, and sam is quicker than expected showing his class. Spot on analysis with the lock senario. Lets hope we can switch it back on ! Love the content keep it going dude.

@@KickOnRugby Terrible. All of the Irish provinces and the Irish national team have crap lineouts right now. It is a major problem. The forwards are good, but you need some lineout specialists.

Clermont are a decent side, third in the Top 14 and on a winning streak, they came fully loaded too so it never going to be a walkover. Leinster lineout is in a bit of a state at the moment, but I think they will sort it out. Our defense is immense though. Only conceding 3 tries against high scoring French and English teams and keeping Clermont pointless from the 4th minute on. I think our attack is starting to click into gear this year as well but is still developing. Prendergast is the key to Leinster and Ireland evolving their attack and I don't want to put the hex on him, but I honestly think he could develop into our greatest ever fly half and yes that includes Sexton. The Munster fans get upset when you say that 😉

I wish the commentators could do the bare minimum research on the South. Was pretty painful when they were impressed by how well Jordie was playing Fullback, when it was the first position he ever played at club and international level. Then when they said Fijians were going off to play in Moana I died a little inside.

Think we are off where we need to be, but it looks fixable if we get Baird Sheehan and Furlong back into the line out. Keenan Frawley Osborne and Lowe are also badly missed the last few games.

Lineouts🫣 back to basics is needed, Leinster and Irelands attack depends so much on good lineout. I think they will sort this out, they definitely sorted the scrum Andrew porter was excellent. But still winning thats important . Unbeaten this season..

Was at the match and thought it was really poor . Very stop start and never really got going . 3 lineups and numerous mistakes 5 meter out . Leinster should have scored 4 tries . However , win is a win

Hi ,I am a leinster supporter from Dublin,, I love your rugby intelligence,, leinster can't compete in this competition with this line out disaster, kellier plays, well on field, but line outs he's a weakness, I love south African rugby and the springbok are the best rugby team there is, so leinster are the team that is always near there or just about, but always seem too be the brides maid ,I am worried about the rugby in Ireland , either we have been worked out ,or the players couldn't care anymore,, I really worry about the game I love so much, 🇮🇪

Kinda picked this one as a tight game pre match. Clermont is a very good team but as you mentioned the bench got exposed. I enjoyed the game, but i quite like a scrum/lineout battle. Thought Leinster got exposed and imo Clermont was a key part of their lineout falling apart. But class players, and the scrum did well. I'm not a fan of Porter but he had a great game, should've won a few more penalties at the scrum. Prendergast was on 🔥 tho. Fyi, Jordy Barrett was playing midfield for the Canterbury NPC team. Picked the canes as a SR team rather than cruz i believe, to play fullback. Izzy Dagg, George Bridge, David Havili were outside backs at cruz. I think cruz were lining him up as an understudy to Ryan Crotty and he wanted to play FB. Started a number of tests at FB but didn't exactly shine there. I want him at 12 but maybe the issue is that he doesn't want that 🤔

@KickOnRugby I don't think he ever actually played for Cruz, just Canterbury NPC. He studied at our agricultural university (same uni that McCaw went to) and picked canes very early on. Must say, his positioning was excellent on the weekend. I was never sold on him as a FB but as the years go by, I'm less and less confident about NZ coaching and if players like him have been impacted negatively

I was at the game but what the hell Claremont were fantastic but sometimes you just have to win ugly and we did that Hats off to the French.. they came to win, it wasn’t pretty but 2 from 2 and 9 points from 10 I wasn’t the worst result 🇮🇪
