On the whole I’m a fan of the GdA rules, but I really dislike the way an entire division’s fate can be decided by a crappy dice throw. And then the figures are surgically removed from the field, instantly and leaving no trace. I suppose it speeds the game but still. 🤔

GdA 2nd edition is soon to be released, perhaps some changes might improve things like that?

And.. to be fair Charlie had so many troops we just removed his breaks and assumed the french fled the field back through Leipzig, you do get a second (or more) chance to recover as you fall back with always at least one on the table edge…..it should encourage the holding of reserves to fall back behind …..but for this many figures you needed more table space than we had…..and it speeded the game along 😉😉😀😀

@@divinuminfernum - Yes, very much looking fwd to GdA2! I’ve heard there will be many improvements and plenty of streamlining of things that were overcomplicated.
