Hi, I’m guessing your asking about uniforms, I’m afraid I don’t have my books to hand but from memory when I was painting them I basically painted the line infantry identically, all have blue facings and a specific set of KGL flags, but otherwise no difference, when I did the KGL lights they are basically in the standard British riles uniform but with some differences in detail, I think Perry do different metal figures with the correct uniform, again apologies it’s details like the piping on the facings that are different, I used the Perrys own web sight to help ick up the differences and the Knottel plates that are available on the web. Defn a stubborn labour of love, the logistics are intense, fun to see them play out and interacting with the formations, planning the convoys and the interceptions….the air combat at individual aircraft level is bonkers……this scenario seems just about playable because it has so few units, and a bit more playable than the Italian scenario as a result….. we’ll see how long I can keep it going….but the large basement meaning I can leave it out here in the US means I might manage a few more turns this time.

That was a fun game and where for once a plan worked. 👍😉👍 15 battalions of Landwehr ….wow……impressed, do you have a force, game your building them for? I’m toying with some 1813 games where the Wurtembergers could see an outing. Gradually building my Prussians up, three “brigades” / divisions now and roughly a division of Russians…..too much for any tables I have back in the UK. One day….we’ll see how far I get, I’m taking a bit of a shortcut with things like airfield supply and just deducting from the main supply dumps, rather than running the dozens of tiny convoys necessary to each depot. The fuel and stores consumption of the main divisions is so significant I feel all the tiny fiddly bits ( I’m still doing evaporation and Italian pasta…..bonkers I know) fade into insignificance. But supply really dominates everything. The Rommel scenario for the moment has so few units it feels manageable…..15th Panzer is just starting to arrive….cheers JP

@@JP-ml4zh yes, the Italian pasta die roll is a legend!

They do but your combat potential is massively variable a division can vary from full strength to a shell with possibly a hundred or so values in between and morale disruption and ammo supply also have a huge bearing….so it is pretty easy to mislead your opponent…..you can do recon etc to understand what’s in a stack……

@@JP-ml4zh Many thanks for your feedback, I appreciate. BTW Conrad von Hotzendorf, Chief of the GS of Austria-Hungary in WW1 would lead the war like that: on his map a division token meant a full division, but in reality that could have been a beat-up group of soldiers

Been nice to get back to 28mm, need a bit more work on these, just about to start on the next batch, and not quite sure on the flesh tones and highlighting the faces with the set of paints I’ve assembled out here ….. Don’t look too bad I don’t think, can’t do the grenadier helmets but as the units were reformed in a hurry 1812/13 I’m guessing I can get away with it😀, and they were only on the first company of the first battalion in a two battalion regiment…..I’m going to end up with loads of spare elite co that I’ll need to figure a use for next …..😮😉😉
