Now this Jazz Bass is really the most beautiful piece of Artwork I have ever seen on a Musical Instrument... It reminds me of a 1962 Jazz Bass with a Bad Ass Bridge that was for sale in a small Music Store in Danbury, Conn. back in the mid 80's... The price was 600.00 back then. It was stripped down and stained Walnut. What a Beauty... You are so GREAT Lee........

Been amazed and inspired by your genius and style since the late 70s. Heard you first back when you were doing something with Rit or Carlton and you were going by “Lee Sklar” , and have never let you out of earshot since. Thank you very much for showing us musicians how it’s done. You plus any track you are on, Sir.

I so love when you reminisce about your early days and like so many, you started out with an Echo bass, then what it a scuffle it was to come up with $90.00 to purchase your 62' jazz, my first bass was a Hofner, which my folks bought me after we watched The Beatles on The Ed Sullivan Show, they were by no means in a financial position to spend that kind of money on an 11 year old boy with the attention span of a rock but they took a chance and as they say, the rest is history... thank you Lee for sharing your memories with us and P.S. thanks for turning me on to DINGWALL...I love it!!!

Leland, I am more than excited to be the proud new owner of one of your EA iAmp800s. It’s in transit to the East Coast right now. Cannot wait.. It’s a gift to myself for working long hours on the front lines in the ER during this time that no one is gigging out. Nice to have a side gig in health care I guess. I’m hoping to make it through this ordeal safely and be able to play through your amp and do it justice. I will cherish it. Through my 30 years as an “accidental” bassist, I have amassed an arsenal of bass gear ( SVT, Edens, Ashdown, Genz Benz, SWR, & Aguilar to name a few). I have found my rigs are getting smaller as I’m getting older! Your iAmp 800 may top them all. You have influenced me musically for my entire life. My style is simpatico with yours, giving the song what it needs and feeling good about it.” No shame in a whole note” as you say. I’m not a chops guy by any means, nor do I need to be. I just wanted to say thanks for the music and for you to know that your amp is going to a good home where it will get some love and use. Suggestions for a cabinet match? Thanks again Leland, ‘ Jeremy Bone ( Runaway Cab)

I was fortunate to see B B King perform live at the Adler Theater in Davenport, IA some years back. It was prior to 1994, because I was with my first husband who died in mid-1994. What a wild night that was! There were 3 young women sitting a few rows in front of us, and they were tugging on a flask during the entire performance, and their dancing in place got wilder and wilder as the night wore on. Oh my goodness, such a fond memory for me. I hope you read these comments, Lee, as I have tons of stories for you. . .all true, too. I’ve followed your career for decades! Hope your finger gets better. You’re a musician, so protect your hands! ❤️ Love from Iowa ❤️ Lori Parrish Niemi Euphonic Studio, LLC Mount Vernon, Iowa
