The LeMat Revolver is a weapon featured in Red Dead Online and Red Dead Redemption 2.
Description
The LeMat is a cap and ball revolver with a single-shot, smooth bore barrel of buckshot beneath the main barrel. Its damage and accuracy are on par with the Schofield Revolver and superior to that of both the Double-action and Cattleman revolvers. However, its rate of fire is slower than both the Double-action and Cattleman revolvers, as is the reload speed. Its reload speed is perhaps its main flaw, being slower than any other sidearm, which is exacerbated whilst dual-wielding.
Acquisition
In the PC/PS4 version of Redemption 2, the LeMat Revolver can be purchased from the gunsmith in Saint Denis after the mission A Fine Night of Debauchery.
In Online, the revolver can also be purchased from any gunsmith or from the handheld catalogue that the Online protagonist carries on-hand.

My personal pick is all blued steel, pear grip, full baroque engravings and a scorpion carving on the handle. Really is a gun that can kill with looks, bullets and a shotgun shell

I usually do all brown except a brass cylinder and brass trigger with brown engraving on the frame and brass engraving on the cylinder but no engraving on the barrel and maple grip with a puma carving.

When I finally started to play Rdr2 online I noticed the LeMat in the gun shop and went from the piss cattleman’s revolver to the LeMat fairly quickly and still use it despite having pistols... it just works.

Cattleman revolver is actually one of the best guns in the game strangely, rockstar really made all guns pretty much equal, it really depends on your playstyle

but using deadeye takes away the feeling and spread of the weapon, marking them just makes the gun like a laser beam. usually if i do deadeye its a health ability to regain health.

i used this in the game without using the shotgun part. also i prefer the long barrel. it seems better in my opinion and the short barrel makes it a bit clunky and bulky. a great gun though.

@@josephpercy8772 The cap and ball era was like that. To make it faster to reload paper cartridges were introduced which had the ball/conical bullet and powder inside a case made of nitrated paper which would burn completely during firing.

I stick with my scofield. But the LeMat makes a great backup. Slower reload but I figure if I am down to using both pistols reloading won't be a problem one way or another.
