Lemon Blueberry Bundt Cake ~ Lemon Week on The Farming Pastor's Wife

We are continuing on with our Lemon Celebration, making a Lemon Blueberry Bundt Cake using the bottled lemon juice. Of course, if you have real lemons by all means squeeze those and use them.
I hope you all enjoy the southern farm and ministry culture that our lives revolve around.
Lemon Cake:
2 cups flour
1 & 1/2 cup sugar
2 & 1/4 tsp baking powder
2 cups Blueberries
3/4 cup milk
1/4 cup lemon juice
lemon zest of 2 lemons
1& 1/2 cup butter
1 to 2 tsp lemon extract
6 eggs
Preheat oven to 350°
mix everything but Blueberries as ypu would any Cake. Fold in Blueberries. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes.
Glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
4 Tbsp lemon juice

I've never had a problem with the sound of the mixer. I like when you use the microphone. If anyone has a problem, they should turn down the volume on their phone or computer. You don't need to apologize. This cake looks really yummy!

Using powdered sugar on the blueberries would make them stickier in they are at all moist. You did right.

Leslie, this is a dated recipe, but I lost your address. As I told you, I have an autoimmune problem now and have been plagued with pain for months. I can't seem to find a pill that doesn't have unpleasant side effects. Couldn't take Prednisone, tried meloxicam, but I slept too much. Am trying Decadron now, but hate it and it's putting weight on me. I know you have myositis, which affects your muscles. I have polymyalgia rheumatica, which means I have widespread inflammation in all of my muscles. It's hard. I pray for you, Leslie. Knock and the door shall be opened. I just wanted to let you know I see the changes in you, and I understand. I listen to Chopin's Nocturnes every night and it helps ease the pain. I am stiff from early am until 2:30pm. Not complaining, just sharing. If you need prayer, I'm here. Different religions, same God. Ask Bryant to make a video with you, to avoid stress. I'll see what I can do to help you. What a beautiful cake! I bet blackberries or strawberries would work in there also! My Mother (and now I do) used to make a “Buttermilk Cake” that sounds a lot like your recipe except it doesn’t call for lemon zest or lemon juice! It makes a delicious cake!!
