I have made this simple recipe, and it is WONDERFUL. Ca't wait to make it again. I poured my batter into 4 mini loaf pans, so I ended up with 4 to make as gifts, and others to try. I cut down the bake time to 30 minutes. It's one of my new favorite recipes and will make them the rest of my life, they're that great!

At 2:39 you said 'Add all the wet ingredients plus the sugar". So I did. Later I found that you are not meant to add the lemon juice (which is a wet ingredient). The cake is now in the oven, so I wait with interest to see what happens. I think the added wetness will mean it will take longer to cook. Meanwhile I am making this cake in one of the 45 minute waits for the baguette dough to prove . . . . I have bought some special baguette 'tins' to cook them in. Anyway thank you for your channel, I love the accuracy of all the ingredients, and every recipe I have made comes out top notch.
