I am a Civil Engineer with multiple degrees. And I spent all that effort and time learning a trade that has no fun. Making candy looks like endless fun. And tasty. Can’t say any of that about my trade. But our sewage has to be hauled and treated after eating the candy so there’s that.

The old world way of candy making is an art. So painstaking yes. The traditional way which has been done for hundreds of years I hope the old world candy makers have passed it down to their children. Lots of hard work goes into making such a thing of beauty. Good exercise. Lots of fun. Today in some shopping malls that have candy shops you see can candy makers making candy the old fashion way.

First of all, THANK YOU for sharing these videos! Really love to see A loving family run business. And now a suggestion... What about a tropical themed ribbon candy or hard candy? Pineapple, Banana, coconut (no texture!), Mango. Or an Orchard theme, Apple (red and green), Peach, Pear. And maybe some random flavors like Currant, Bubble Gum, Root Beer, Cola, Cherry Cola, Cherry Limeade, Margarita (salted?), Grapefruit, Butter Rum. Thanks for being GREAT!

I love all your ribbon candy making videos, I wish that I could order some but I live in CA. My grandfather used to love to eat ribbon candy and back then it was easier to find in the stores.
