We make this recipe about every ten days. It became our favorite dish. Thank you so much for this. Since we cannot find orzo where we live, we use spaghetti noodles. If we are out of spinach, we chop up bok choi. The white part we roast along with the other veggies. The green part goes in at the end like the spinach leaves would have.

I love this video and the work she put into it with all the camera angles and also the sound quality. She is one of the rare people who make a video that is worth watching. I also think you can substitute other proteins besides the shrimp. I will try using canned chicken and canned hams or even shredded rotisserie chicken.

Wow, thank you! My husband does all of the video stuff so I will pass this along to him! Yes, you can add any kind of protein you like!

@@TheSaltedPepper You just broke my heart, I had noticed that you were not wearing a wedding ring in the video and so I did not think you were married and I told my home health aide that you were going to be my future wife. It is not every day that a man finds a woman who likes to cook and is built perfectly. I guess will have to look for a wife elsewhere.

I have to say I will attempt this and this will be the first time I will thaw out the shrimp in water. All prior information I could find about frozen shrimp always said to never ever thaw out the shrimp before cooking it. But I think her way is much better than cooking it frozen and getting more water into the mixture when I do my Chinese cooking. I am really grateful for this video. What I like about the Ninja Speedi is that being a Disabled American Veteran I can do cooking where normally I would have to use my induction burner to cook with which many times I have overcooked the food but with this cooking appliance I can set it and forget it and have an edible meal. Like her, I like those little sweet peppers and have used them occasionally. One thing I would change in her recipe is to add pineapple tidbits and rice or glass noodles.

Looks amazing! I am curious where you got the scoop utensil that you used to serve this. I looked in your link below but didn't see it listed.

It looks amazing! I love all of the ingredients, so I will try this. What model Ninja do you use?
@helensteventon3398 Жыл бұрын
Certainly one to do, brilliant thanks 😊 I’m a newby Speedie owner, no yogurt, sous vide or proof setting on mine. Must be different models for the States, I’m in the UK.

Delicious recipe. Please can you tell me the name of the utensil/product you use to scoop the food out of the Speedi? It looks like a scoop combined with a spatula...

Hi, I have a tip for picking up the crisper tray on the Ninja Speedi that i adapted from your tip on your Foodi pizza video. The silicone tubing you put on your rack can be cut small to fit the little handle of the tray b4 you start and it it's sooo easy to grab with tongs like that
@TheSaltedPepper Жыл бұрын
Brilliant! Now, to find those little silicone things. LOL

this recipe looks great. however, our counters are filled with all sorts of cooking devices. this Ninja Foodi looks enormous so i'm trying to think how i can make this in a crockpot/slow cooker or air fryer,. i very much enjoyed watching your video, thank you
@WaynoGur Жыл бұрын
A couple of questions. Could this be made in the Foodi? If so what changes would have to be made? I have a Foodi (OL-701) with a temperature probe. Do you have a video on how to use that? I have never used it, because I don't know how. Thanks.
@TheSaltedPepper Жыл бұрын
Yes, it can be made in the Foodi and I have suggestions as to time/temp in the written recipe article: thesaltedpepper.com/lemon-orzo-shrimp/ I haven't done any videos that I can think of using the temperature probe on KZbin.

You don't have to make it in any certain type of appliance, I have directions for oven/stove in my written recipe article. It's a super easy and really delicious recipe, I hope you give it a try.
