Hi Vivian, I know I'm not Ariane but, I'm pretty social and know your answer so, I hope you don't mind I chime in. Some fragrances for candles, melt and pour, and cold process are interchangeable but, some aren't. I always suggest to check the label or the website to make sure. If you don't you could run into a lot of problems. I am more familiar with the problems on the soap side as a soaper myself but, some examples for soap: ricing, acceleration, and separation.

I don't like the look of the noodle SCI. Can i use the powder form instead of noodle type? What are the good reasons for using the noodle type instead of the powder form?
@cwood8579
@cwood8579 5 жыл бұрын
Rona Abano you can, but you will have to melt the powder SCI with another surfactant as it is insoluble in water. C. Betaine works well to heat and melt the SCI in. If you do this however, the bars cannot be formed with a press, but pushed into a mold because they can be rather sticky. I have used granular SCI without melting it in a surfactant and pushed it into silicone molds with great results. This also all depends on the formula and percentages of the ingredients.

New directions aromatics says to transfer essential oils from the larger metal containers to a different container. Do you find keeping them stored in the original container affects them at all, like the website says it might do?
