Ghibli is a studio that respects and celebrates children. While characters and roller coasters are the stars of other studios' theme parks, children are the stars of Ghibli Park. There is a strong desire for Ghibli Park to be a park where children can spend their time doing what they want to do, rather than having their independence taken away by adults and themes. The "Mononoke no Sato" area is scheduled to be added in the fall of 2023, and the "Witches' Valley" area in March 2024. ゆっくり行きましょう👒

This is gorgeous and magical beyond belief. I either need to move permanently to Japan or invent a teleportation device in record time. Also, I want to work there then I can just live in the Studio Ghibli universe and I don't have to worry whether the gift shop sells things online. Watching this began to make me feel so nostalgic and melancholic. It took me back to the sense of wonder and excitement that I had when first exploring the fantastical worlds that Ghibli created during my youth. It made me a bit sad that I could no longer feel that same feeling after all these years, and as emotion started to well up inside I looked past my laptop through the window behind it that looks out over a charming view of Portuguese rooftops. I'm very far from home right now, and it occurred to me that I didn't lose that sense of wonder, it simply pushed me to explore more of our own beautiful and fantastical world... which I think is exactly what these films were all about. I've seen so many vistas and found so much magic within my every day life. I've explored not only my own heart, but the hearts of others and been able to cherish them all in my own way. Film is truly so powerful... I'm grateful to these people who have been able to bewitch and inspire with their art, and I sincerely hope I'm not the only one who's been touched in such a profound way.

Ok this all does look gorgeous and immersive, and I expect as time goes by that warehouse might be turned into a proper museum, they might add parades of the character, and generally expand on their attractions, but like where’s the food??? The stories and the characters in Miyazaki’s films are wonderful but the food looks so amazing I swear I can smell the god’s market every time I watch Spirited Away. I was expecting an on-site bakery a la Kiki’s Delivery Service, a brunch place where Calcifer is the head chef, a cute little ramen shop, and the god’s market soup dumplings. I needs them!🥺🥺🥺

Same reason why smart cities don't make more roads in a center to get more cars. Ghibli is not corporation. There is no goal to get more people and more sales. There is a goal to get people who REALLY want get there. That's the one of the reasons why there is no car parking at Ghibli park.

I loved watching this so much 😭 I love that for the most part it is a peaceful nature park with some Ghibli themed attractions placed throughout. The replicated houses and rooms are so cool. My favorite was Arriety's room where everything is giant. It makes me feel nostalgic for my child self, who would have wanted to live in there haha. I was thinking it would be neat if they had a theater in there where they screen different Ghibli films. But I also think about how Miyazaki wants to encourage people and especially children to spend time outside vs watching his movies, so maybe they won't do that. But I can't wait to see what other areas they add on in the future. I need to visit some day 💖 Also i love the music you put in the video.
