Nice to see you back. I bought a V100 S at the beginning of March, have nearly 2000 miles on it now after Easter weekend in the Scottish borders. Absolutely love it. I'm 5'7" and a lightweight, so the S made sense because of the electronic suspension. It saves me spending a fortune on suspension mods to get a bike working for me. I find the riding position perfect, and it's a nice change after three adventure bikes to be able to get both feet flat on the floor! Mine is in the green and grey, with gold wheels. We were staying in the Buccleuch Arms Hotel in Moffat, popular with bikers, one other guest on a lovely black and gold Darmah was raving about the V100, as I was leaving another guy came up to ask me how I was getting on with it as he had just ordered one. It certainly seems to be doing well for Guzzi. The Stelvio looks ace too, although surprised they don't have an electronic suspension version of that - don't think I'd pay extra for radar to tell me when I'm too close to the vehicle in front!

Yes, lovely looking and sounding Guzzi. I currently have a T3 which I’m loath to part with but…… you never know! I wondered if you know, yet, what 5he service costs are going to be on these new water cooled Guzzis? I’ve heard the service charges are expensive.

I was watching KZbin for many times looking out for The Lemon Drizzle Gang but.... nothing for a long time. So now you are back on track Mike and that's good news! Good you'r all in good health too ! In the '70's I had a green Moto Guzzi 850 T and my heart is still with these Italian's. Great review and I have enjoyed your ride on these roads in Wales. Thanks for the update !

Even through the video that sound makes the hairs on my arms stand up. Nice to have you back, but I´m envious as we still have snow and cold here in Sweden, so my bike is still in winter storage. My fault, of course for living in a country where the season is so short. Well, at least I can watch this, and maybe drool just a little...

Hi Mike, I wondered where you'd all gone?! I bought a V100 Mandello (not the S) in white, partly on the back of watching your video as I'm roughly the same vintage as you guys and a similar riding background, so pretty much what you like I will too! I have to say my V100 is probably the best all round bike I've had. It's very rapid on the road, beautiful stable handling but (due to the wide bars) it turns quickly too. I'm not as tall as you but I do agree on the leg position on longer rides it can start to feel a bit cramped (ageing limbs come into play here though). I hope your brother has pulled the trigger. They're a modern day LeMans, expensive but worth every penny. Bring on the Stelvio.

Glad your back!! I also like the brand, as I have a 1999 Bassa & a 2007 Vintage. They are simply wonderful motorcycles. That Mandello S is gorgeous. I'd probably have one if I were younger, but at my age (72) I have bought my last motorcycles. I also have a Kawasaki W800 & (2) smaller bikes. Thanks for the video. Have a great day!! Cheers!! I agree it's definitely the best colour scheme and even the styling is growing on me, although I prefer the traditional more classic look and still can't quite get used to the idea of a water cooled Guzzi. I really wish they would make a retro like everyone else i.e something like the 1000s. I think the biggest issue for Moto Guzzi is the fact that the majority of people who buy Guzzi's tend to be at the later end of the age scale and therefore might be looking for something a little lighter. Obviously Triumph have realised this and are now making smaller capacity bikes such as their latest 400's. I know Moto Guzzi have the V7 but it might be worth them looking at something in the style of the old V50 weight wise in order to increase there appeal. Really great to see you back making videos again, I'm sure I speak for the vast majority who watch, when I say we've missed you guys.

I have a feeling Guzzi will produce a smaller-displacement version of the new engine, perhaps around 800cc, and install it in a retro-styled machine. Time will tell.

One of the best looking new bikes out there imho. Good to see you back Mike. The Mandello is tempting but the one thing niggling me about them is perceived quality issues. There’s a few shocking tales of very poor engine casing finishing and corrosion. They’re not alone there though. Lovely sounding engine with enough real world power for anyone not tracking a bike. It’s surprising given the progress in bikes how few have any real charm or character. They’ve nailed it in the Mandello. Not quite so sure about the V85. It was a fad thing for a while, an antidote to the gs, but loads now back on the used market. Not many seem to hang onto them long.

v85tt owners selling up with the Stelvio arriving - the new antidote to the BMW? Ridden a Mandello and liked it very much but not roomy enough for me, though I'm sure it could be adapted. Will be keeping my 2020 v85tt for a year or two yet though - comfortable, charismatic, well put together and handles nicely. Bit like a modern version of the r100gs, but sips petrol and the brakes work... Could occasionally do with a bit more grunt. I do like the look of the Stelvio though, and loved the v100 engine, so maybe in a year or two when all the buzz has died down

How about a R9t vs the latest Brit /Italian for an every day bike. Thanks for all you do for the community and be well. Sorry don't do Asian bikes , I like the twin sound and feel . I have the green S and it suits my size 5’9 1/2”. I prefer lower bikes - I’d have my Mk 2 Le Mans over my ‘96 1100 Guzzi Sport for that reason. I’ve put 8,000kms (5000 miles) on it in 10 months. Probably my favourite of all the bikes I’ve owned over the blue and white Suzuki GS1000S which was my favourite long distance bike back in the day.

What a great sound......hang on.... it's not too dissimilar a sound to my water cooled V twin .....you know the V2 that Honda water cooled for the masses at a reasonable price all of 45 years before Guzzie decided to have a go. Yes back in the day the humble CX500 ( 50hp) was a technically advanced bike for 1200 quid. Maybe I ought to try a Mondello to check if they've caught up !
