this was amazing~ but i gotta admit, there defo needs to be a part two, maybe where we come back as a strong hunter, the thoughts and feelings of what he did to use pushing us to become who we are when we meet again, him only realiseing who we are from the scent of our blood mid fight or maybe from the scars and limb we have on our leg, but truly truly magnificent

I have read far too many vampire books. I swear I would make an excellent pet. You go retake your manor, make some emts as some thralls and then bring them to fix me up. There was a book series I read, that sadly was romance themed (but what can you do unless you write it yourself?), where these people were atlantean and they were so far advanced that they made nano bots that used blood to repair injuries to the body. Except they didnt differentiate between aging and normal injuries. But it used a lot of blood to fuel them so they needed infusions. And after the fall of atlantis they adapted to be vampire-like to be able to still fuel the nanos during basically dark age kind of times on the mainland. I would love it if the author wrote a non romantic or at least a less romantic centered series with that world.

Okay, random question: if he can't eat the soup, and was expecting an animal to be caught in the bear traps (since he hasn't seen another human in 30 years, other than us), then why make the soup in the first place? Unless he was lying, for some reason, about not seeing any humans for 30 years? I'm rather confused... But to quote Savor the Taste, "They say if you die with a full stomach, you look extra-content in death." So... thanks, I guess? Better not to die hungry, plus it probably made our blood taste better that our bodies weren't dealing with malnutrition as he exsanguinated us. So... a win-win? I still don't get the point of making the soup if all he needed was the bowl, but I'm grateful for the meal, all the same.
