Take a shot every time I mispronounce "fursona". Hey guys! This is my very first video taken using my webcam! OBS kind of butchered the quality on my camera, but I've already fixed that for my next video and I'm currently in the process of saving up for a better one. My energy is also all outta whack as well ... sorry! I'm still shaking off those performance jitters. Overall, sorry for the shoddy quality on this -- I figured it's still something you guys would like to see! I'd love criticism on how to improve recording. What kind of content do you guys want me to make involving my fursuits and the fandom? I'd love to do a mix of things that aren't just talk videos!

It's funny, I think her being an axolotl is actually the least original thing about her ahaha. They're a lot more popular now! I appreciate the compliments in any case, I just think people give me way too much credit ;) She was a lot more original five years ago when I made her, axolotl OCs are a lot more common now.

I think picking an unusual species works best when you try to incorporate the species trait into the character! If you make a character just to stick out / be unique it'll show. Try incorporating stuff relating to the animal into the character's design and personality :} It makes for really fun characters! Bojack Horseman is a pretty good example of furry characters having animal traits that affect their personality.

I just bought a lighting rig and my next video already looks LOADS better :} It really does make a huge difference! The video itself is just still pretty fuzzy because my camera isn't the best ... I might invest in a ring light along with the all purpose one I have as well ... I never considered pointing them towards the ceiling! I'll try that when I record again, thank you so much! My Neewer CN-160 has two different filters, a cool and warm one, I used the warm one because the cool seemed to wash everything out, but I'm going to have to fiddle with it more.

That's so cute! I love seeing other uncommon fursonas, especially to see how they translate into fursuits. My fursona is a platypus, which has posed some challenges to commissions. I plan to make a suit eventually, but after some practice.

This is so adorable, I had to comment - and that's something I normally don't do. After seeing your picture first only, I couldn't imagine, I mean, ok, I know the Axolotl, I'm a lover of most creatures, but, wow. I love that it appears to be near seemless, the sparingly use of colours, but then , yes, in this spot, the gills. (So expect other furries to use it as a pick up line "you have beautiful gills"... I think that maybe your glasses could get foggy if you sweat But I'm not sure. I currently own a head big enough to fit my glasses in, but I'm hesitant to put them on while wearing it, (because I have another fursuit with kemono-like eyes and those get really foggy)

I wore this suit out for an entire con about a month ago and I didn't experience any problems with fogging! Granted I don't sweat a lot, but my glasses never fogged or gave me huge issues. The only real problem I have with them is that they smudge if I accidentally press them against the inside of the head while putting it on.

Twenty, but I've been the same size for a long time. ( I'm only 4'9" and don't gain weight easily. ) I recommend waiting until you're done growing to get a fursuit.
