If this table were bought new at today's prices, I would say it would cost between $4,000-$6,000 (table), and each chair would be $1,000. So, total $10,000-$12,000. We tend to underestimate the value of what we have. Now, the people you sell to might not pay that much for new furniture. So, when selling, you have to make them realize the superb quality of the furniture and what something comparable would cost them today. Maybe that will help people be willing to pay a more fair price for the beautiful work you and other refinishers are producing.

Never mind the table being expensive. The cane chairs are a fortune nowadays too!! Just 1 chair can cost around $300-$500. Table came out beautiful.

Congrats on a great buy and an incredible makeover! Back in 1975 I would guess a set this size would be well over $1000. Today’s prices? Probably more around $3-4K. I’ve been watching you for about a year and am so proud of you and how you truly did turn lemons into a huge pitcher of the sweetest lemonade. 🍋🍋

mine was same area looked like this and I paid over 2000 when tired of it kids took it and its still being passed around. It was with a hutch and was 2500 plus tax. I replaced the covers eventually and looked brand new.

I would of reupholstered the seats to include changing out the foam since the chairs are 49 years old. You would be surprised how yucky the cushion foam is. The colors you chose for the upgrade definitely pop.

Those were my thoughts as well! It's amazing how fast the foam disintegrates over time! The cost to recover the chair seats would have been minimal and I would have felt far more comfortable with new foam and fabric. But I will agree that the color choices for the table were perfect!

This is one of my favorite flips that you have done. It surely was a lot of work, but it was so worth it. I agree that the seat cushions and the top just elevate this table. It is hard to say how much it would cost to buy something this size . It is so unique and it is better than the quality of so much of the furniture today. Congrats!!

I usually love Bombay mahogany stain and it's my go-to. But I wanted to take a minute and say that I love the look! Make over looks so elegant and would fit into most design schemes. Keep those videos coming!

What a great buy! I love the style of this set! The black paint looks flawless. I'm not excited about the top finish because it looks splotchy. This usually happens with lower grade oak and oak from different trees. If you love it that's all that matters. Thanks for sharing all the great tips! 💯❣️
