This was perfect as a vanity desk for me. kzbin.infoUgkxMAlHv7-BBWMrPRm5-uEoD6rtdT7SG2Qr Especially the glossy finish. Easy to cleanI was looking for something that wasn't the traditional white and with more of a modern feel. This fit the bill beautifully. I put it together with no problems, by myself in under an hour.Make sure you double check where you place the drawer tracks before screwing down. I had one track that needed to be aligned with different holes than the rest.

I just chalk painted my kitchen table and wanted to still be able to see the grain in the top of it, but the table had a white looking bleached out look on several places on the table top. This will work out beautifully. Thank you for this video, it will be good as new again. Love love love the view❤️❤️❤️

I have oak hardwood flooring. I am fairly certain it is solid oak rather than veneer. Previous owners applied wall to wall carpeting. When I removed the carpeting, the carpet padding had adhered to the floorboards. Most of the old varnish had liquified and pooled. What a nasty filthy clean up chore! Given the degree of ugly stains, a complete wood restoration is beyond my means and doubtful that even a skilled technician can fully restore the flooring. I've been considering paint. I watched an Annie Sloan video of creating a limed oak look and I fell in love. My hardwood retains a honey oak color although it is essentially bare wood. But the sea is my spirit totem and so I want to achieve a sun bleached driftwood look. And so I was riveted with your table process and results. Absolutely beautiful and precisely the look I want! I think I can even blur the darker stains with a judicious use of paint. My worry is whether the products you name are durable enough for flooring. If so, can you recommend alternatives? Should I go to a local paint specialist and ask for color matched products that are formulated for flooring? Would you change anything in your technique for painting a floor? Thank you very much.

Okay… you showing us your dogs and talking to them was a huge bonus. They are indeed cute! 🥰 This was the perfect instructional video for me today. I can never seem to lightly sand a previously painted piece, and instead compulsively sand down to the bare wood. At the moment I have four (almost) pieces I’ve stripped/sanded to bare wood. (No small amount of work.) And now… after all that, and because the wood used in their construction is consistent, I am loathe to cover it up. So paint washing has been on my mind. This tutorial is so great! I’ve watched other videos of yours, and all of them leave me grateful to you for sharing your expertise. I will be clicking on your Amazon site. Thanks so much! Grateful in Vancouver.

I have been going backwards to see what you have done. I refinished furniture and antiques for 25 years. ( I was 10 ) I love wood. One piece took me 3 years off and on. It was a huge buffet. It had 4 sets of pillars. It came from a home in South Carolina. But had been stored in a barn for I don't know how many years. I worked on part of it at my home and the other half in the owners garage. I had a lot of cleaning out and sanding with small tools. It is the gem I did for my life. It was oak. I love oak. I just can't wrap my head around chalk painting and all the different coats to the table. I have chalk painted a couple small tables. But I just couldn't get myself to do it to a dinning room table. I am chicken.!! LOL I enjoyed watching and I will see what else I can do. Thanks Joyce

Your video was so detailed, best one I’ve seen in a long time. I loved the close up views so we could get a really good idea of how to do this wash. I can’t wait to start our table. I have two end tables downstairs that I’m going to sand and practice on before I start the bigger table. I also noticed the chunky blanket you made, I never thought I could make something like this as I’m not a knitter, and had been looking to buy a new blanket for our bedroom that I just finished redoing, but now, I’m going to make my own. I love the RH/ Anthropology look on this table. Good call on removing the architectural detail it had on the base, too. I kind of liked the paris grey top as a 2-tone and I am going to experiment with my trestle table that I've been saving for this look, but I still will need a little graphite on tabletop to " marry" cohesively, just dominant beige ( paris grey) on tabletop and dominant charcoal on base. Thanks for the inspiration and tutorial! Best voice in tutorials...literally!
