Watching the different cultures parent is so funny! Lempies is all business and hands off, and Ali is all passionate daddy! Us western women are completely distracted by the baby eating on her back, while Lempies plays with her fingers. We're all like, "Omg, pick her up and hold her upright, or, at least put Olivia in a chair that allows her to eat in the right position." Then, I just realized cultures are different; and, everyone looks healthy & Lempies is happier this way. So be it. I bet going forward, if we all just realize there are many ways to be a mommy in this world, we'll be aight. And from the looks of it, Ali is going to more than make up in the tactile affection department! Lol, Heck, I wanna be the next one loved by Ali! Lol!!!!!

Most women from the African continent carry their babies on their backs and do everything. The babies are allowed to have that human contact. Lempie's mother is a mid wife and it would have been nice for her to be there for Lempie before she had the baby because it is quite obvious she really needed her. I can see that sending Lempie off to school in Europe and being away from her culture has somehow.influenced her intellectually for her job or business wise, but not for knowing bonding and how to naturally interact with a baby. She is trying but seems awkward and immature. I feel sorry for her when people make comments about how great Alec is as a husband and father and also how much the baby looks like him. Children go through so many changes in their looks growing up. Lempie is a beautiful Namibian women and I am sure Olivia will get to look more like Lempie as she grows and that melanin settles in and her hair defies gravity. Black is beautful!

There's nothing like a new baby to rattle an A1 personality! We don't know Ns. Lempies, but I can give her grace. No woman knows the triggers a new baby will press until its theur baby. She's a beautiful, intelligent new mom. And the world has flipped now that their beautiful baby is here. So many new emotions and expectations, and judgements. Lets be Team family and pray for them to draw closer as they figure out their new configuration, journey and love on each other!

What a horrible, tactless and hurtful comment. 👎 you are only seeing a small portion of their interaction you don’t see the rest of the times Lempies is with her daughter. Everyone has different ways of showing affection. Not every parent is lovingly lavishing kisses and hugs in front of the camera. That’s just part of Ale’s personality and probably cultural too.
