I just discovered this and I must say, I am absolutely blown away. This version is so good, completely stripped down to bare bones, bare essentials, and an amazing voice to back it up. The instruments compliment but don't detract, there's a feeling of holding back early but as the bridge comes in it goes into full power. As an Elton superfan, this is such a fantastic job. Very well done. Chills.

This is one talented lady that uses her voice like a precise instrument. She colors the notes in such beautiful contrast. Love that they left the distinctive bass guitar line in the instrumentation to accent the low notes on the piano. Elton John attributed the inspiration for those deep bass notes to Brian Wilson of The Beach Boys.
