The Ballroom is my favorite part of the movie. It's dark, decadent, and yet so magical. Jareth is trying to seduce Sarah but it's Sarah that has him enchanted. It's beautiful.

That's my favorite scene and song as well from the movie. On the 25th anniversary edition, Brian Henson explains that the scene is about Sarah's apprehension to an older man responding to her. Suddenly she realizes maybe she doesn't want to be an adult if that's what that means and she's not ready for that kind of relationship yet. In the end of the scene she decides she doesn't want this "fantasy" romance and is able to break out of the spell to complete her mission to save her brother. Still one of the coolest movies from the 80s, hands down.

Many would argue that this song deserves more recognition, but I'm glad its an obscure song in Bowie's discography. It's the song my wife and I danced to at our wedding, and for the rest of my life it will bring a tear to my eye. For some strange reason, i love that its underrated. I love that it's underappreciated. To me, it makes it much more meaningful. I don't know how, it just does. All that to say, what a terrific cover. Beautiful.
