Is it that the powers at be are caught out naked? Or is it that the POWER at be steers the current powers in such way? This is what I cannot grasp. If one follows the history of money. One would know the hidden hand (POWER). It's quite unreal that the hidden hand would cause so much chaos and come out at loss. In other words. I'm doubting that the BRICKS is the solution, I tend to think that it's yet another gimmick of the hidden hand (POWER). I often debate myself last few years. Was WEF front shown for a reason? Are China and Russia part of it? Do they actually fight the west? Or is it just theater at the cost of human life, animal life, planet...? I would hope that there was actually many ways to prosper via many free currencies. However, if BRICKS bring the digital currency to common folks first, isn't that just a wet dream for the banks? The hidden hand? The POWER. Isn't that just the same outcome they want wrapped in different colors?

I can see why you follow this man, Lena. He has put together many of the thoughts I have but couldn’t explain or connect. Although I live in the US, I have felt for a while that the devaluation of the dollar and resulting rapid decline in US hegemony is likely the only way to rid ourselves of the mess we have in DC. I know it will be traumatic for Americans but I can see a ray of hope beyond that transitional trauma knowing we cannot rid ourselves of our tyrannical overloads in any other way.

Excellent conversation. I have watched the decline of entire USA society for 60 years. Whether education, medical care, work ethic, personal integrity or sense of self-worth, it has all slowly downgraded. It has been replaced by bellicose defensiveness including the need to own guns, to championing national military pursuits, to refusing any level of criticism or alternative view. This is all becoming clear at this moment. It is a lostness that had thought to find wholeness in the pursuit of money/wealth. Despite the constant message from artists that wealth cannot fill a fundamental internal lack, society only increased its drive for money above all else. Along the way material & sensual stimulants proliferated exacerbating addictions of all kinds. The nation has become lost in delusion. The grief it could be experiencing stems from a befogged awareness that the world around us has dramatically changed. Our story about ourselves that we are "the greatest" no longer has agreement.

In recent times, there has been a noticeable trend of American interventionism, where the pursuit of war and economic interests seem to intertwine. However, China is taking a different approach by extending support to developing nations, aiming to reshape this paradigm. Instead of profiting from conflicts between nations, China is investing in global development.

Hi Lena First, I strongly believe that the world should use the terminology "military spending / industry" instead of "defense spending / industry" or any other oxymoronic terminology. Let us all call a spade as it is, that is, a spade... instead of sugar-coating that ultimately reduces and even negates the impact that articles or presentation were really meant to highlight, expound and drive home in the first place. The military spending of the USA has not been for defense at all but for offense / aggression against other countries. Second, thank you as always and also to Prof. Powell, for presenting the case that China has for the last few decades been promoting investment and development in manufacturing and systems towards the rise of economic and industrial output that are productive and sustainable, which the world really needs.
