As many of us have kept repeating…..you can’t eat gold. It is effectively too late in the game for the normal city dweller to pull up stakes and move to the country. They have zero skills to try to do so. I was always moving myself to severing ties to the “system” here in the U.S…..2008 just made me step up the speed. So I have spent 16 years honing my already considerable skills at farming, building, wilderness skills. Can the average city dweller suddenly acquire these skills overnight? No. So Andy is right…their ONLY avenue at this point is to buy gold and silver. But when everything hits the wall…..the gold and silver will only be useful for a very short window of time. Then they also will fall by the wayside. City dwellers will die…..anyone with any sense can see that. Everything they are and have, is tied to the “system”. Will I sell my food or supplies for gold? Hell no. That is extremely shortsighted. 😂.

Bribes must be paid whether we like it or not. Getting out of jail is simply a matter of having the cash in most (not all) situations. Don’t go into this with a poverty mindset. @@miztriI’ll just say anything you have tied up in the banks is at very high risk. I’d get your money out and transfer it into more secure assets like PMs. Stock up on food, water, and lead. Grow your own food and learn how to hunt and fish. Become self sufficient. Then, if you wanna gamble with any of your money in the system after that, then so be it. Just be in a position where if you lost everything in the system, you’d still be ok.

Follow the money. Have seen how much money is pouring into Bitcoin ETF"s? I would say that would be a smart choice. But hold it in your own wallet and not an ETF that can possibly be confiscated by the government. Same goes with gold. If you choose gold you want to hold it on your person and not an ETF. Bitcoin is easier to hide if you have civil unrest and travels easily with you but has a steeper learning curve. Once your set up you can carry your wealth with 12 words in your memory. Nobody can steal your wealth and it rises with inflation.

Being able to even cover all your basic ills on time is now a luxury. This is what happens when a central bank prints and debases your currency faster than you can earn it. It affects those in labor force still trying to save for a future they will never have. You needed to be born before 1965 to even have a chance. Anyone stuck now surviving off wages is doomed. You cant compete with 20% compounding annual inflation on 1-2% raises. And now, they are replacing full time jobs with crappy PT contract positions in which you get no benefits and pay all taxes on your own. Unless your job gives you a 20% a year very year raise, you arent going to last long in this. Cant fight a currency debasement, no matter how careful you are with money and hard working. They are destroying your wage
